We had such an amazing time at Duka Bay Resort in Medina, Misamis Oriental! It was really a perfect trip with my whole family. We decided to stay overnight there and honestly every single moment was so fun and memorable. From the time we arrived until we left everything was just great. The place is really beautiful and peaceful perfect for a getaway.
When we first got there we were all so amazed by the view. The sea is so clear and blue and the surroundings are full of big trees and green plants. It feels so fresh and cool there not hot at all. The resort itself looks so nice and well taken care of. It really felt like we found our own little paradise away from the busy city life.
Since we stayed overnight we had plenty of time to enjoy everything. Right after we put our things down we quickly changed and went straight to the beach. The water was so inviting and looked so clean. We were all excited to jump in and start swimming. It was going to be a day full of fun and laughter.
We spent the whole afternoon just swimming and playing in the water. The water felt so good and refreshing especially since it was a bit sunny. Everyone was so happy! The kids were splashing around and having the time of their lives and even the adults could not stop enjoying the water. We swim we floated and just enjoyed the cool sea.
It was non stop fun from morning until afternoon. We did not even notice how fast time passed because we were all having such a good time together. The beach is really nice and the water is just perfect for swimming. It was so nice to just relax and not think about anything else except having fun with the people i love.
Aside from swimming we also walked around the area. The resort has nice paths and places to sit and chill. There are big trees everywhere that give so much shade so you won’t feel too hot. We took lots of pictures too because the view is really Instagrammable. Every corner looks so beautiful and natural.
When the afternoon turned into evening the atmosphere changed and became even more special. The air got cooler and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. We started preparing for our night activity. We were all looking forward to it because it’s not every day we get to do this together as a family.
We lit up a bonfire! That was definitely one of the best parts of the trip. Sittin around the fire with my family was just so heartwarming. The fire kept us warm and it was so nice to just sit there talk and share stories. We joked around and laughed a lot. It really brought us all closer together.
The sound of the waves crashing on the shore plus the crackling sound of the fire was just so peaceful. Looking up we could even see the stars in the sky because there was no bright light pollution. It was such a beautiful and romantic feeling even though we were just there as a family. It felt very calm and happy.
We also had snacks and drinks while sitting by the bonfire. Sharing food while chatting made the moment even better. We talked about so many things funny memories and just enjoyed each other’s compani. No phones no distractions just pure bonding time. That is really what a vacation is all about.
When it was time to sleep it was such a good rest. The sound of the ocean was like a lullaby making us sleep so deeply and comfortably. Waking up the next morning was also amazing. The fresh air and the view of the sea first thing in the morning is something you can’t explain you just have to feel it.
We woke up early and saw how beautiful the place looks in the morning light. Everything was so green and the water was sparkling. We took a walk again and breathed in the fresh air. It really recharged our energy. Staying overnight was really the best decision because we got to experience both day and night at the resort.
The staff at Duka Bay Resort were also very friendly and approachable. They made sure we were comfortable and everything we needed was there. The place is clean and well maintained which is very important. You can really see that they take good care of the resort and nature around it.
We went home feeling tired but so happy and full of great memories. Our skin got a little tan from swimming all day but it was totally worth it. We brought home not just pictures but also the happy feeling and the strong bond we felt as a family during that trip.
