Nanga Parbat Base Camp 2 (Raikot, Ferry Meadow)
Everyone had to start their journey at eight o'clock in the morning. I don't know when it was morning. When our door was knocked, we came to our senses. Eight of us immediately had our breakfast and got ready and left the hotel. We wanted to go to the base camp Nanga Parbat and the rest of us stayed in the hotel. We started our journey and the first half hour journey was very good. We passed through the forest. And the rain also started. The weather was very cold. As we moved towards the base camp, the rain got worse. Out of the 30 people, 20 people were left.
The rest of the ten people started their journey back and we moved forward. Sometimes the rain stopped and sometimes it started raining but we continued our journey. I wanted to be a human being, but I wanted to stay here. I felt great peace here. The trek started very well, the route was beautiful with many beautiful places (scenaries) which means there were great places, great beauty (wallpaper) which means peace was peace.
At every new place on the way there was new beauty and the sounds of different birds, the noise of the wind, the smell of the rain, tiredness and panting, they were moving forward if they finally reached the place where people from far and wide come to take pictures and Nanga Parbat means Murshid. We visit this place called Nanga Parbat View Point which comes from Raikot i.e. Ferry Meadows. Here it was raining and the weather was bad. That's what we were thinking, we waited for some time, but the weather did not improve, after that it was decided to proceed towards the base camp. To go, first we will go to base camp 1 and then we will start our journey towards base camp 2.
That we can't go further, we said you get up, man, you were fine, you are not going either, many said no, we are not going, but we smiled. The journey started towards the base camp from here the trek was very dangerous everyone started shivering because the path was very short and slippery due to rain climbing at some places and descending at some places Pakh Dundee type path at many places so There were no signs that we had to go to the place where we had to go. One has to take care of one's feet here, but a little carelessness, a mistake of a second can take you forever from this world to the next. Now everyone has their own. was
And stopped and breathed again and again and continued to move forward. Many times we came across very dangerous paths and places where we passed, but we did not have the courage to look back and looking back we did not believe that we had just passed through this path and returned. We have to pass through here as well, the rain was continuing from above, the sound of thundering clouds from above was creating fear and the voice of Allahu Akbar was rising from our mouths. He used to drink some energy drinks, chocolates, etc., and eat whatever he had available to restore his breath. On the way, there was an oxygen problem due to which the breathing was not going easily. While continuing the journey, when someone stopped, Khawarbhai would encourage him and tell him to go ahead.
They were also having a lot of fun coming to this track, but this track was dangerous, the bad weather was a big test for us, apart from our ten people, we didn't even see any other person on the whole way, the clouds were thundering from above and we were tired. On the way, when some went further up, there was snow and a field was formed. Everyone reached this field and lay down on the floor, recovered their breath, and everyone had a smile on their face because everyone couldn't believe it. Today, we had traveled so long and dangerously and we were near the base camp of Nanga Parbat, many people's feet slipped on the dangerous paths, but they were saved by Allah Almighty or from a major accident. That is, I started my journey upwards. The climb was steep. Some say I am getting dizzy
And someone said that my health is getting worse. Meanwhile, two horses appeared along with horsemen, that is, two elders, Mushtaq Sahib and Shahji, who were traveling towards this base camp sitting on horses, they are also part of our group, they are our seniors. Seeing them, everyone started making loud noises and we were all very happy that we were giving them sounds, then the same sounds were hitting the mountains and coming back towards us. Sahib and there was a guide with him, he listened, he spread his hands towards us and signaled us to move forward i.e. to come up or else we accelerated our journey upwards. We three people started climbing up first and 20 Minutes later, we saw that there was no one around us, that is, everyone else had left behind
I was very tired, but we people kept moving forward, then we signaled to those behind us and shouted that you guys should not follow us, they should come from the other track in front, the track on which we are going up is very easy. It is very difficult for you not to come here, but they said if you can go, we will also stay behind you. We were surrounded by black clouds from all sides, our vision was not going far, there were black clouds everywhere in front of us and behind us and we were in the middle. As we were traveling, when we saw those two flags on top, it started raining and snowing.
This snowfall was also dangerous because the weather was so bad that nothing could be seen, but then this snowfall failed to scare us. We were near the base camp 1. As we neared the flag, we were greeted by cold wind and snow, Mushtaq Sahib and Shah Ji had reached Base Camp 1 before us sitting on their horses. They welcomed us by clapping and hugging us. They were very happy to see each other, they called me Mushtaq sir, take out the phone and look at that statue in front of me. I said I will see after five minutes. And they were making the sign of Victory, they didn't have the courage to speak. They started pointing with their hands. The clouds increased the darkness. Our guides, who are local people, were also scared. They told us that they will not be able to go further because Nothing can be seen ahead and the weather is very bad We are in some place in some atmosphere, but in front of us Nanga Parbat was surrounded by clouds, we could not even see him. Seven people gathered together and asked Mushtaq Sahib if our target was this or should we go further, he smiled and said yes, but there is Base Camp 2 in front. but it is very close and nearby. Our guide who was a horseman tried hard to mislead us that this is the base camp, you should go back from here, but Mushtaq Sahib said no, he is ahead now. We didn't get to the German's grave and then he went quiet, we took pictures at the base camp and then the brother's voice came, he said he was moving on.
Go ahead, my loose youths, all this way there was a dog with us, whose name I do not know, but he was very brave, big and strong, he was with us all the way, he belonged to our guide, he sent with us. And the guide himself was a little behind. At many places we were afraid, but bravery was with us, due to which the fear decreased and where we did not know the way, he seemed to be ahead of us and we followed behind him. We were going and the path was going well, then the dog heard the sound of an animal and started running to one side. From where the sound came, the dog ran towards it, went some distance, circled around a stone and started wagging its tail, which means that the marmot was hiding under that stone, and the dog stopped there and its outside. He was waiting to come out so that he could hunt him, but he did not. Apart from them, there are kings of the kingdom, when humans come here, the animals protest, that's why it is said that when the forests end, these animals turn to the population. reach and destroy, etc., now we stopped hearing that means he was hidden, we started moving forward and now it was no longer a climb but a straight journey.
The weather was cold and it was going to rain. There was a big field. We were all walking together. We went far ahead and stopped on top of a mound. What did we see there? There was a place like a grave with some boards on top. Hermann Bohl (Austria) first climber to climb Nananga Parbat in 1953) Some people went in 1900 and 1934 but most of them lost their lives then (more or less forgiving). His comrades did not take back their dead bodies. There is a symbolic burial at this place. It is said to be the grave of a German citizen. Their names and dates are written on it, which means that now we have reached the base camp. And this is our last stop. Now it was evening but the air was very cold and the clouds surrounded us. What happened was the darkness was not allowing us to see Nanga Parbat. It was bad luck, now our one-way journey was completed, i.e. five hours, we could not stay here for long because it was snowing and raining, the weather was cold and cloudy. It was dark, apart from our six or seven people, there was no other person nearby. The weather was getting worse and the problem was increasing. We thought that we should start the return journey. They did not come till the view point and some came to the bial camp. They would see us coming and ask some questions and we would gladly answer them and they would praise us and say that you have courage, you have traveled so far in such a good time. And it is admirable in such a bad weather that only local people can do so much travel in such a short time and some other people like us will do it. are also present now we have started our journey towards the total downwards once again we saw Naga Parbat towards the top but the clouds blocked our view disappointed on the way down it was raining and the road was also bad the journey was without After stopping for four hours, reached Ferry Meadow (I don't remember the name of the village now), after that, when I reached the hotel, I felt bad because of fatigue. I was hungry, I was tired, I was dizzy, my legs weren't working, I rested for a while, I ate and then I got ready for bed, and I don't know when I fell asleep and when the night passed.
to be continued
Sorry for the mistake, please guide me further. Thanks.
