My Trip to Manikganj: Teuta Palace.

So I am going to tell you again about the next story of my trip to Manikganj. This is going to be my last post about my trip to Manikganj and its about another Landlord's House that's called Teuta Palace.

This was the tour story of the third day. In today's episode, I am going to talk about the experience of visiting Teuta Palace. As usual we all got ready and left aunt's house to visit this place.

The distance from Manikganj bus stand to Teuta Palace was about 30 km. We all left early in the morning to go there as it would be almost noon and we would have lunch outside after visiting the palace.

From Manikganj bus stand, we all boarded the bus and left for our destination. Then after going to a certain place the bus stopped because we had to use CNG to reach our destination. So, we reached our destination by CNG.

The picture you can see here was the main gate of Teuta Palace. I took these pictures after getting down from CNG. I stayed in this place for a while before entering. Our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was there in one of the two pictures you can see in this place. I heard that Kazi Nazrul Islam lived in this palace for somedays and he wrote many poems and literature staying at this place.

This day was sunny. After going to this place, I saw that a big pond was there next to the landlord's house. By the side of this pond was a large road. Next to the road was a large field and the landlord's house.

Then we all entered inside this house. After entering inside I saw these places first. This is a very old palace. You will notice that the buildings were broken in most places and the colors of the walls have turned black. This palace was made of bricks and these buildings were very large in size. But sadly there was a lot of rubbish thrown on the front side of this ancient place which I was upset to see. I felt very bad to see such a historic place in such a poor condition. These places are now under the government so the administration should make good arrangements about these places.

I found this palace is about 300 years old through google search. So this palace is very old. The structure of this house was not strong and the walls looked grayish black in color. There were several doors leading into the house and through those doors one could enter the room. I entered several rooms, those rooms were very small. The rooms inside were almost broken. No one lives in these places now so these places are empty now. Tourists like us go there now but once these places were very beautiful. Many people used to live there but today no one lives in those places. Looking at these old buildings, you can understand that earlier this palace was full of splendor. I felt the old times of that era when I saw all these buildings.

This place was the entrance to another part. Also many buildings were there and this is how to go from one side to another side. We entered another palace through this road.

This place was on the outer side of another palace. The outer walls looked very dark and damp. This house was made of bricks. There was a small field in front of the house.

The pictures of this place show very well the condition of the structures there. Many of the structures were broken. We all went up to the second floor of the house. I was very scared because the structure was in terrible condition. Almost everywhere was in broken condition.

Then we went up from the second floor and got to see the roof. After climbing to the roof, I looked around. From the top of the roof everything below was seen very beautifully. Green nature was seen around this roof and the neighboring houses could be seen near this house. I could see the roof of almost all the buuldings from this roof. The pond in front of the house was also visible. I enjoyed watching these natures.

It was a temple. This temple is still in good condition. We did not see anyone entering this temple after we went there. This temple was in front of the palace and there are 2 more palaces behind the temple. We went to that place too.

There was a signboard and there were some cautionary words and prohibition notices. This matter was very interesting to me because I saw many writings and stains on the walls of this building and they did not look good at all.

It was on the front side of a pond. The name of this pond is written there. The name of this pond is Kuhelika and it was inaugurated by a govt employee named Rashida Ferdous.

This pond was very big and there were many beautiful lotus flowers blooming. Stairs were built to go down to the pond and there were well-arranged places to sit.

These palaces were more beautiful than the previous palaces. The structures of these houses were good and the designs of the houses looked beautiful to me. Drama was being shot at this place in the film and it was forbidden to go there so I took this picture from a distance to share with you.

This was my tour story. I spent a lot of beautiful and happy time visiting these places.
