My board exams had just ended, and I wanted to escape the heat of the summer. Just then, me and my friends instantly planned a trip to Wonderla: One of the largest waterparks in India!
I still remember the day so vividly. It was the day when my grade 12th examinations (termed as Board examinations in India) had just ended, and I had no plans to celebrate the last day of my 12th grade. Just as me and my friends got out of the examination center, we started talking about how each of our paper went, and somehow we ended up instantly planning a trip to Wonderla.
I reached home as soon as possible, and booked the tickets instantly. We also got a huge discount as they had a special offer going on where 12th grade students were offered tickets at literally half the price. I was able to grab 6 tickets at only INR 4171, which would have costed me around INR 9000 otherwise.
Our exam finished at 12:30 PM, and we were able to reach our destination by 2:30 PM.
Even though the park was still under construction, 99% of the work was already completed, and all the rides were fully functional. The 1% of the work that was left was to construct a giant aeroplane figure in the front of the park as a tourist attraction, pictures of which I will share when I get to visit the place next time! 😄
As the park opens at around 11 AM, and closes at 7PM, we had only 4 hours to enjoy the cool waters and the thrills of the rides. We instantly got changed into synthetic clothes, as instructed on their website, as cotton clothes or clothes of any other material may latch onto the hard plastic present in various water slides and may cause injury.
I could not get any pictures of the locker room, as clicking pictures was prohibited there, But they had maintained everything really well. It was super clean, and everything was well organized and I felt really safe keeping my belongings in the locker they provided us with.
As soon as I was done with changing, I headed out to take some pictures of the water park.
They also had a huge clock tower, which was prominently visible regardless of wherever one was in the water park. This was really helpful, as I had not brought along my phone with me due to most of the rides involved a lot of water splashing around us.
The place was filled with exciting and thrilling rides, and the vibes were off the charts. Visiting this place with your friends makes the experience a 100 times better.
They also have a huge canteen, which is both hygienic and good looking. They provide really good food and have a huge variety of dishes to choose from, that too at affordable prices, which is just what one would look for after spending a day full of thrill and wonder.
Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to try their food, as we came at an odd time, and by the time we left (7 PM), it was not dinner time yet. As such, we had already pre planned dinner at a friend's house.
Even though I did not take my phone along with me to click pictures, one of my friend captured short videos throughout the day, and made an amazing edit out of it. Whenever I scroll past that video in my gallery, I always take out some time to look at it again, to relive the day, even if its for just half a minute.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that I won't ever forget this day ever. The day was filled with thrill and wonder, and the company of my friends made it an unforgettable experience. The best trips definitely are the ones which are planned in a very short span of time, and this was most definitely one of those trips. All of us were quite saddened as time finally came to return to home, but in just a few minutes, we were again cheerfully talking amongst ourselves, and making plans for our next trip! 😀
This post will serve as a key memory for me to look back at some point in my life, and I will definitely try to get my group of friends to revisit this same place in the future, so that we can all be worry free like we used to be in our 12th grade, and spend the day without any stress or tension in our mind. I also grabbed the oppurtunity of making my first post ever on C/Worldmappin, and I hope this post aligns with the community rules and standards. Hope to post more of my travel experiences in the future!
