Hello dear friends,
Today, I want to share something with you as we are approaching Christmas and the holiday season. I guess I'll be sharing several photos with a Christmas theme. I must be honest; it's not a time of year I love very much because it's also a time when I gather with relatives I don't get along with very well. However, Christmas decorations are a beautiful thing to see and create, and I think most places where we live can only be improved by Christmas decorations.
These days I am at my sister's place; I think I have already talked about it in other posts I have shared here. Naturally, in the mountains, where I am right now, snow has already arrived. Since I passed through an important location called Bassano del Grappa, I decided to take a stroll through the streets and squares of this significant Italian city. I don't remember if I have already talked about it, but I have been here several times for work reasons, and since I passed by yesterday, I decided to take some photos.
I must say that both the municipal administration and the owners of various shops and bars in Bassano del Grappa have put in a lot of effort to create a beautiful Christmas atmosphere, and from my point of view, they have done an excellent job. In my opinion, the icing on the cake would be a bit of snow, which would make these Christmas decorations even more beautiful.
Of course, in the main square, there were also little stalls with Christmas products and local crafts. Some people were buying, but in reality, there were very few people around, and I find this a bit sad, perhaps because most people are now attached to the internet and TV and don't go out much.
However, I recommend visiting Bassano del Grappa, especially because it was an important capital of the Italian distilled spirit, grappa. For those who don't know, grappa is a non-distilled spirit made from grape pomace, and in such a cold period like this, it can really give you a nice boost to face the day, of course, to those who like it and can handle alcohol.
Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read this post. The comments you leave below always bring me a lot of joy because they give me the opportunity to interact with you, and I think that's a beautiful thing. See you soon, friends!
