Hello dearest friends,
This week has been very productive for me in terms of posts. I've finally managed to organize myself, and I'm delighted because I truly enjoy interacting with all of you. Currently, I'm working mainly in the Marche region, a place I've visited before, but confess I haven't had the chance to explore thoroughly due to work commitments.
By the way, this year Pesaro, which is one of the most important cities in my opinion in the Marche region, is the capital of culture in Italy. So, I believe I will be bringing you a lot of content about this region. In fact, today I want to share with you the village of Monsano in the province of Ancona. The other day, I was there for work-related reasons and took advantage of my lunch break to walk around and snap some photos to share with you here.
Moreover, this village is very small, with a population of only 3,300. It is located in a hilly area at about 200 meters above sea level. I must say that from that position, you can truly enjoy a beautiful panorama. What struck me the most is its medieval structure; in certain parts of the village, you could still see remnants of the walls that were built here in the fourteenth century.
While strolling through the streets of this village, I noticed the presence of two churches that seemed very interesting. Unfortunately, I had limited time for both lunch and exploration, so I couldn't visit them. The photos you see were taken quickly. Also, as you can see from the pictures, there were very few people around the town, and I couldn't even exchange a few words with anyone.
In conclusion, I don't find this village bad, but I am too attached to the Tuscan villages, which always maintain their medieval structure over time. Here, if you notice, very little of the medieval era remains, a common observation in other villages outside Tuscany. Probably over the years, they have been modified, and their streets have lost the characteristic features of the past, which I think is a great shame.
Thank you for reading the post. I always try to respond to everyone's comments because I appreciate your feedback, and I hope you liked the photos, even though I wasn't fully satisfied. See you soon!
