Hello friends, today I want to make a post where I talk about a particular place I saw in Sicily that I had forgotten to tell about here.
I would like to tell you about Farm Cultural Park, a small park with a sustainable approach that was created several years ago in Favara, a small town of about 30,000 inhabitants in the province of Agrigento.
Let's say that many artists together with the inhabitants of the village wanted to transform this village into a small Berlin and create true works of contemporary art under the open sky.
Just think that Favara was until a few years ago a place famous mainly for the squatting of its buildings, and now it has become instead the little jewel of art visited by tourists from all over the world.
In fact, I wanted to take a half day to visit it precisely because as you know I like painting and I am an art lover so I could not miss this beautiful place.
I read on some information board in the village that practically an investment of about 20 million was made to create these works of art and this has generated in about 7 years more than 120000 visitors a year and of course created many job opportunities for young people in these places where unemployment is widespread.
In my opinion, it was a really good opportunity for the country, although I admit that creating this in Italy is really difficult due to the fact that the mentality is very closed.
I have taken several photos to give you an idea of how beautiful it is to walk among these masterpieces But I hope that one day you will be able to visit this place in Sicily In the meantime, I thank you for reading this post and I will talk to you next time.
