Dhaka to Cox's Bazar
Travel is an experience in our lives that not only makes the place beautiful, but also the time. Imran and I had wanted to visit Cox's Bazar for a long time. One day, to get rid of the busy life of the city and the pressure of studies, we decided to leave everything behind and go to the sea. After preparing, we left Dhaka for Cox's Bazar on a Friday night.
Cox's Bazar is known worldwide for the longest continuous sea beach in the world. This tourist destination located in Bangladesh is a combination of the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal on one side and green mountains on the other. This beach, which is about 120 kilometers long, is becoming popular with domestic and foreign tourists every day.
The sea beach of Cox's Bazar is famous for its natural beauty. The experience of walking on its white sand, listening to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise and sunset fascinates anyone. The beauty of each part of Cox's Bazar is different. Laboni, Sugandha and Kalatali beaches are the easiest in the city
Sitting by the bus window, we were watching the glittering view of Dhaka city at night. As the road left the city and entered the rural environment, the solitude around us cooled our minds. We were talking, discussing future plans, and making a draft of what we would do after reaching Cox's Bazar. When the night was deep, sleep came. When the light of dawn broke, the bus was near the sea.
The first feeling I had after reaching Cox's Bazar is difficult to describe in words. The roar of the sea, the smell of sand, and the touch of a light breeze seemed to wipe away all my fatigue in an instant. I checked in at the hotel, freshened up, and ran straight to the beach.
As soon as I stepped on the sand, I felt like I had entered a different part of the world. The waves were coming and crashing at my feet, then moving away again. Looking into the distance, there was only water and water. The sun was overhead, but the sea breeze did not make me feel tired. We were walking barefoot on the sand, listening to the roar of the waves. Imran took out his camera and started taking picture after picture. It became our duty to capture such beauty of nature in the frame.
In the afternoon, we went to the beach again. That day, the sunset created a magical scene. The orange, pink, and purple colors of the sky mixed together to create a strange atmosphere across the entire sea. I was sitting on the sand listening to the sound of the waves, and Imran was capturing every moment of the sunset on camera.
There were many people around. Some were drawing pictures in the sand, some were laughing in groups. Small children were playing in the sand, and couples were walking towards the sea holding hands. I took some candid photos with my camera. Imran was still busy with the colorful sky and the play of waves.
The next morning we went to the sea again. The sea looked completely different in the morning. The blue color of the sea looked even darker in the sunlight. While walking, we saw fishing boats. Fishermen were returning from the sea. We captured their lifestyle on camera. Their hard work and love for the sea fascinated us.
We went out to visit the Cox's Bazar market in the morning. The local shops had various types of seafood, shell jewelry, and handmade showpieces. Imran bought me a shell bracelet. We bought fresh food from there and ate sitting by the beach.
That evening was one of the best times of our trip. Small lights were shining on the seashore. The roar of the waves from afar and the noise of people sitting by the sea mixed to create a strange melody. We stopped photography then and just enjoyed the moment.
On the last day, while walking on the sands of Cox's Bazar, we decided that we had to return to this place again. We were trying to remember every moment of this place before returning to life in Dhaka.
As we boarded the night bus and left Cox's Bazar, the sound of the ocean seemed to bid us farewell as we looked out the window. Imran was looking at the pictures taken by the camera, and I was thinking—this trip had deepened our friendship and would remain a precious chapter in our lives.
️*Keep the environment clean, do not throw empty water bottles, chips packets in the tourist area.... Do not cause unnecessary noise and annoyance to others, remember that nature is more enjoyable in silence.
