Can't get enough of our summer family adventure? Let me share another day with them in Bohol. Today was all about sea, sun, and unforgettable memories. After exploring the land and mountains, it was time to enjoy another beautiful waters that surround this amazing island. We woke up early, full of excitement, ready for our island-hopping adventure in Alona Beach Panglao, Bohol. The sky was clear, the sea was calm, and it felt like the perfect way to add to our family trip.
Dolphin Watching - A Magical Morning at Sea
We started the tour before sunrise, boarding our boat at the Panglao pier. The cool morning breeze and peaceful sea set the mood for an amazing experience. After a short ride, we slowed down and soon enough, we saw them!
Dolphins started swimming and playing near our boat. Some jumped out of the water, while others raced alongside us. It was such a joy to see them up close in their natural habitat. We were thrilled, and everyone cheered with excitement. Watching these playful creatures glide through the ocean was like watching a live show from nature itself. It was truly a magical moment that none of us will ever forget.
Balicasag Island – Swimming with Colorful Fish
After seeing the dolphins, we went to Balicasag Island, one of the best places in Bohol for snorkeling and seeing sea life. The boat ride took about 30 minutes from where we saw the dolphins. As we got closer, the water looked clearer and bluer. The island was like a small paradise with white sand, tall coconut trees, and boats gently floating near the shore.
We put on snorkeling gear and followed our guide to the marine sanctuary, which was just a short swim from the island. When we went into the water, we saw a whole new world below. The sea was very clear, and we saw colorful corals, many fish swimming together, and even some sea turtles moving slowly nearby.
Our guide showed us different kinds of fish and told us how they protect the coral reef to keep it beautiful for the future. It was peaceful, fun, and interesting all at the same time. It felt like swimming inside a big aquarium. Definitely one of the best parts of our trip!
After snorkeling, we rested on the island, enjoying the quiet and warm sun eating our lunch. It was such a beautiful place, we didn’t want to leave.
Virgin Island - Stepping onto soft, sandy ground
After swimming and relaxing, we went to our last stop — the famous Virgin Island. It is known for its long, white sandbar surrounded by shallow, blue water. It looked like a beautiful picture of a tropical place! We walked on the soft sand and felt the gentle waves around our feet. Local people came by in small boats selling fresh coconut juice and seafood snacks, which we happily enjoyed while enjoying the calm and quiet place.
Hinagdanan Cave - Fresh breeze after the hot sun
After a full day of island hopping, we headed back to Alona Beach feeling excited but also a bit sunburned from all the time under the sun. Our skin needed some relief, so we decided to visit Hinagdanan Cave, a cool and peaceful place nearby, approximately a 15 minute drive.
Going into the cave felt like stepping into a cool, fresh breeze after the hot sun! The cave’s natural rock formations and gentle pools of water made it feel like a hidden oasis. We dipped our hands and feet into the cool water to soothe our sunburned skin, and the shade helped us cool down quickly.
This day was full of fun, beauty, and family moments. It was an amazing memory to our unforgettable Bohol adventure. 🌴🐬🐠
