Hello Hivers!
How are you guys doing?
Todays blog is about my trip to a hillstation. Shimla is a city in Himachal Pradesh. Shimla is the capital if Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This place is really breathtaking and is located in Himalayan foothills.
Shimla's elevation is about 2,376m. Best time to visit Shimla us from the month of March to July. This time is best for visiting this place because the weather is quite pleasant and perfect for outdoor activities. The temperature during this time is very comfortable as it varies from 15°C to 30°C.
It these months you can also try paragliding, trekking, rafting and camping if you are into adventure and sports.
Shimla is a very popular holiday retreat during summer's. Shimla is also known as Simla and is famous for it's mesmerising Victorian Architecture which is reflected in certain areas of the Mall and The ridge.
This place is surrounded by beautiful mountains and snowcapped hills. The colonial area and it's structures are just stunning and amazing with heritage grand old buildings.
This place is really famous for it's handicrafts shops that line The mall, as well as known as the lakkar bazaar, a market that is specialised for wooden toys and crafts. Shimla is one of the most thronged destinations in North India. Shimla offers much more than the colonial buildings and these different kinds of markets.
Mall road is so much famous in bollywood for it's songs set up here. Shimla is also known very well for ice-skating and MTB (South East Asia's biggest mountain bike racing) races. Shimla is a favourite getaway for all the tourists all year around.
You'll expect a tattoo artist at every corner of Shimla but you can't expect a food shop open after midnight 😁.
Shimla is also known for it's ghost stories and some haunted places like Chudail ( Witch) Baudi(A place of cold water). It is believed that if a man drives alone at night and if there cars slow downs for a lady in white clothes then it's over for them😬.
Besides this people of Shimla are very interested in their culture and religions. People here are really simple and are really hard working. Some people keep horses as their way of making money.
They give rides to people on horses and charge a particular amount of money based on the time and the rounds you want on a horse.
As you can see the photos I've clicked has no crowd in them because it was very early in the morning and I was out on a morning walk.
My experience here was really good as I spent about 3 months here and I actually liked this place and the people here are kind too! Shimla offers you with great accommodation at affordable prices and the food here is mouthwatering.
This church at the Mall is really famous and the walle inside the church are painted with really beautiful Catholic paintings on it. I like the idea of making it so unique.
I love to visit places like these and capture there grace.
Thanks for dropping by.
See you guys in my next blog ❤️
