Madan Mahal Fort, is one of the ancient forts, which was constructed in a way, that it could tolerate any climatic condition. The fort was constructed in 1116 by the great Gond ruler named Raja Madan Singh. This fort was said to be the pleasure palace of tenth Gond King Madan Singh. He was one of the sons of Rani Durgawati.
There is a watchtower that is still found on this fort. The rulers used to keep a good watch upon the attackers or enemies from this tower. It is quite high and it could easily trace the movement of the attackers from a distance.
Madan Mahal Fort is very pretty and located in middle of the green location. While one can enjoy the history of the forts at the same time, they can take some amazing pictures in this forts. Madan Mahal Fort is located in the Jabalpur city in Madhya Pradesh. Jabalpur has hot and humid climate, so in case you plan, visit this place from October to March, which is usually winter season in India.
