Welcome welcome,
Today I wanted to share some more photos from the day trips I took around the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Pha Ngan. This one was a bit rougher than the first one and we had a lot of physical activities that day. On most of these day trips, I would spend all my time free diving which would already tire me out a little bit. I didn't know what this day had in store for us so I was already a bit tired when it all began.
We first spent some time at the beach and were able to relax before it was time to go kayaking. This was the first time I tried it in my life so I was super excited. The tour guide warned us that if we followed him he would take us on a pretty long route. Which he did. It was super hot and tiring but a super amazing experience. The waters are so beautiful here and you can take a break whenever you want and look at the views.
I kinda wanna go kayaking again after that. Seems like a really fun way to explore and also a pretty good workout for your arms. It was also forbidden to get in the water for some reason so you couldn't even cool off that way sadly.
After the kayaking was done it was time to leave this beautiful island and move on to the next one where the real workout would happen. In this place, we were given a choice, either walk up to the viewpoint at 500m above sea level or go explore the cave by the beach. I wanted to do both but there was not enough time for that so I opted for the viewpoint. It was a really tough way up and my friend and I rushed the whole way for some reason. We had kind of a race going I guess. It was cool though and I enjoyed it a lot. I love hiking and doing it through a jungle made it even cooler.
This is the view from the top. It was totally worth the hike and I could have stayed up there for hours looking at it had we had more water with us. So after a while, we had to start descending the mountain. On the way, we met a lot of people who would ask us how much they had left and after we told them they weren't even halfway they would rage pretty hard lol. We assured them that it would be worth it in the end though.
This day trip was probably my favorite one in Thailand and after all the hiking and other physical activity, it felt really good to have lunch and start getting ready to go home. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep on the boat ride back and had a well-deserved nap. I would love to go on more trips like this though where you get to walk up to viewpoints like this one. I love hiking.
That is it for my post today. It was one of my favorite days in Thailand and I hope you enjoy the photos I took from it. I will not be posting more travel posts for a while now since I am in the process of moving but soon I will get back to traveling and posting more content like this. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
Peace, Straw
