So after spending a few days in Finland it was once again time to leave. I wasn't going home yet though. The plans changed slightly and I was suddenly on my way to Antalya in Turkey.
I'd never been to Turkey before and honestly, didn't know what to expect other than what I had heard from friends who had been there. It was gonna be way warmer than Finland though so that was a good thing at least.
The first thing I went to see was Hadrian's Gate which is located in Antalya center near the old town. It's been there since 130 AD and I really like old stuff like that so I thought it was super cool.
After that, I walked around the old town a bit and went towards the main place with all the markets and other shops.
This is a photo from above the old town. It's a super chill place where you can walk around and just take it easy. There are some shops here too that sell everything you can think of. A nice place to just walk around and maybe enjoy a Turkish coffee.
Antalya was cool but I didn't go to any beaches or anything like that since it wasn't that warm yet and I mostly just walked around there trying to dodge all the salesmen that approach you.
From there it was time for another flight to Istanbul. I was kinda surprised by how big it was and so busy. Took forever to get from the airport to the Airbnb since there was so much traffic.
In Istanbul, I went to the Hagia Sofia which was really amazing. It's huge first of all and when you get inside it's very beautiful. Didn't spend too much time there but got to see the place and take some photos. Here it is from the outside too.
After that, it was time to go to the Blue Mosque which is actually right next to the Hagia Sofia. It's also a really big mosque and in my opinion even more beautiful. At least from the outside because on the inside they are currently renovating it.
After being here for a while it is finally time to continue the journey. The next stop will be a pretty exciting one. You'll get to see where in the next post. I am super excited about it and honestly can't wait to go. It is also where I will be trying to buy a camera so I hope until the next post the quality of my photos will improve a lot. Anyway, see you next time.
Here is the roof of the blue mosque from the inside to end this post. Hope you like the photos.
