Today I got to visit another really cool place in Thailand. This amazing building is called the Sanctuary of Truth and is located in Pattaya. It was designed by the businessman Lek Viriyaphan and after his passing, it was taken over by his son. Construction began in 1981 and is still going on to this day.
As you can see I have still not been able to get the camera I wanted. I've had some financial trouble since I came here but now that is resolved so very soon I will have my own camera and I can then take great photos. Or at least the quality will be better lol. This was one of those places too where a good camera would have made it so much better due to all the small details of the building.
There is a lot to see in this park and other than the Sanctuary of Truth they also have a mini zoo and some other minor attractions. I really had a good time there and it is truly amazing how it has been built. So much carving has gone into building this place.
This is a model of the building that shows the structure and also some of the plans for future buildings and additions. It's all built from wood except for a small elevator that they have added to the building for staff to use. It's a very nice place and inside you will find a lot of interesting stuff like the rules of life and other important religious concepts displayed using statues.
As you can see there are so many small details that it would take a long time to try and look through all of them. It's crazy how detailed everything is and it really makes you think how much work went into building it so far. On one of the outer walls, images are showing a festival that they do here where they put a cat in a cage and walk around with it. It's supposed to bring rain if I remember correctly lol. Anyway right next to those images there was actually a cat sleeping and it was the only cat we saw. Kinda funny how it chose that specific place to sleep.
Can you see it?
Here is a photo of the outside from a bit closer so you can see how insanely detailed everything is and how amazing this building is. I wonder how often they have to replace the wood.
On the inside, we have different rooms that all have their own meaning and messages. They all look different and it's very cool to walk around in there and just look around at everything. It will hurt your neck while walking around looking at the beautiful ceiling.
There are also some cool quotes in there from people. Not sure how they chose the quotes but here is one from Steve Harvey which I thought was kinda funny that he is in here.
The tour guide also told us another thing about this place which I thought was pretty cool. They filmed a part for Money Heist or La Casa de Papel in this very place. I didn't remember any scene like that from the series but after checking online it seems like it's true.
I wish I had a good camera at this place because you could get some insane shots in here. I recommend checking this place out though. It's truly amazing and if you are ever in Pattaya then you can easily reach it by car. They also do Elephant riding there but I don't really like that at all so didn't go to that part of it.
But yeah won't be many more posts now until I get a better camera and I can start doing this properly. I've truly enjoyed going around and exploring places and taking photos so I am really looking forward to that. Thanks once again for all the support I've received here so far. It means a lot.
See ya next time!
