Hello friends of Hive, happy Thursday. Today I will tell you about my trip to Isla del Rey.
This small island is in the state of Carabobo, in Puerto Cabello - Venezuela. In this municipality there are only 4 islands and this one has in particular that it is private, the entrance is only allowed for politicians, military and relatives of these, in my case I was able to go because I was invited. The other islands are for all the public.
Hola amigos de Hive, feliz Jueves. El día de hoy les contaré sobre mi viaje a la Isla del Rey.
Esta pequeña isla queda en el estado Carabobo, en Puerto Cabello - Venezuela. En este municipio hay solamente 4 islas y esta tiene en particular que es privada, el ingreso está permitido solamente para políticos, militares y familiares de estos, en mi caso pude ir porque era invitada. Las demás islas si es para todo el público.
To visit this island you must go to the Puerto Cabello naval base where they take you by boat, and when I went I saw that the island is closer than I thought, the tour lasts very little, I calculate about 5 minutes. I think you could even go swimming but I don't recommend it since there are jellyfish and I don't think it's something very pleasant that they rub against you haha.😂
Para visitar esta isla debes ir a la base naval de Puerto Cabello donde te trasladan en una lancha, y al ir vi que la isla está más cerca de lo que pensaba, el recorrido dura muy poco, calculo unos 5 minutos. Creo que hasta se podría ir nadando pero no lo recomiendo ya que hay aguamalas y no creo que sea algo muy agradable que estas te rocen haha.😂
The sand is quite fine and white, the water is a little colder compared to the beaches on the mainland but nothing that bothers. Being a small island and not everyone can access it, there are no food stalls of any kind. There are only awnings and grills, if you want to eat or drink something, you must take it with you or fish it, which was our case.
La arena es bastante fina y blanca, el agua es un poco más fría a comparación de las playas en tierra firme pero nada que incomode. Al ser una isla pequeña y no cualquiera puede acceder, no hay puestos de comida ni de ningún tipo. Solamente hay toldos y parilleras, si quieres comer o beber algo, debes llevarlo contigo o pescarlo, que fue nuestro caso.
Lobster, snapper and other species of fish were caught, which were then prepared on the grill, the truth is that it makes me a little creepy to see how they prepare the fish, so I was lying on the sand tanning a bit. You have to be aware of the time because the boats that take you out of there are handled with a set schedule and the last one to give birth does so at 5 in the afternoon and the least you want is to stay in the middle of nowhere for a whole night haha.
Se pescó una langosta, pargo y otras especies de peces que luego se prepararon en la parrillera, la verdad a mí me da un poco de grima ver como preparan el pescado así que yo estaba acostada en la arena bronceándome un poco. Hay que estar pendiente con la hora porque las lanchas que te sacan de allí se manejan con un horario establecido y la última en parir lo hace a las 5 de la tarde y lo menos que quieres es quedarte en el medio de la nada por toda una noche haha.
