Namaste hivers,
I'm back with my rest of the pondicherry trip, I finally dragged myself away from the sea and wanted to explore every bit of the pondicherry so rapidly moved to the hotel and pressured all of my friends to fresh and up really quick so that we could explore the rest of the city and utilize our trip.
All of us got ready hardly before 11 am and with full enthusiasm we moved to the ground floor where they served us some French breakfast which was definitely not my taste but the French Ness in the city kept me moving.
Later on we rented a car and all of us got straight to the infamous French Colony of pondicherry. It was colonised by French people and also it too this day has that essence of France in it. Buildings painted with really bright vibrant colors, alot of small cute yet bold colored bakery, cafe and restaurants were there.
After parking the car, we started walking from one end which was the right way to explore the French Colony perfectly. We saw majority of houses were painted in vibrant colors like yellow, orange, sky blue etc and were vibrant version of light colors. The structure of buildings had that essence of France in it. Majority of houses there were converted into homestay and was giving perfect experience of France in India.
Later on we got to the pomenade beach which was also on one part of the Colony. We sat there to relax a bit and also we were quite tired from the walk we just had so was relaxing there for around there for 40 min. I relaxed sense gave me a feeling that I'm hungry and I got up really quick and dragged my friends to a restaurant which was there in the Colony itself but was not a French restaurant because me being an Indian I needed a wholesome food with rice included. We ate something which was similar to biryani but was not exactly a biryani, some dish of that stare only.
We finished eating and walked towards the parking, hoped into the car and later to the hotel as I was alot tired with the walk I think I slept hardly at around 9.30 pm at night.
Will share the next day in the third post of the same series. Take care
