During my visit to Sydney a few years ago, I was lucky enough to have met Sweeney Sydney. What a day! Pleasant weather is all you need to soak in the vibe around Sydney. Sweeney refers to pleasant (Irish), usually from the surname. Don't be mistaken for someone you know... lol. Okay, I get it, a bad joke, but I just wanted to share my short visit around the Opera House, and why not bring the joke when you can?
Sydney can feel overpowering; wild, never-before-seen things happen around in close proximity. The hustle and bustle is vibrant, despite some squeezy roads and overcrowding.
However, this place right there felt the relaxation of air in between all those iconic high-end city infrastructures.
It felt surreal for me for the first time, with the skyscrapers around and the artistic opera house right in front; you can't take your eyes off it.
The entire 360-degree view was picturesque; one side has the Opera House, and the other side has the Harbor Bridge connected with the skyscraper, with high infrastructure elements, flying planes in between, and ships right next to you, and out of all this, you are in the ferry jumping on the wave. Including trains passing multi-story high—and that's crazy!
The Opera House offers a lot of viewing experiences; there are shops around, and the nightlife is lively with some music in the pub nearby. I would recommend a night walk if that interests you. The vibrant city with lights will take your heart too.
The ferry experience was also a first of its kind for me. Big waves were hitting the ferry, giving everyone a roller coaster ride. It was fun. Definitely one experience one need to try on when you visit around the Opera House.
It was a great short visit around the opera house.
