¡Hola, viajeros de Worldmappin! Hoy quiero compartirles un recorrido lleno de contrastes por el estado Lara, Venezuela. Lo que comenzó como un viaje familiar por la ciudad terminó en un refugio de montaña que parece detenido en el tiempo.
Hello, Worldmappin travelers! Today I want to share with you a journey full of contrasts through the state of Lara, Venezuela. What began as a family trip through the city ended at a mountain retreat that seems frozen in time.
📍 Primera parada: Barquisimeto y su fe
Nuestra jornada inició en la "Capital Musical". No podíamos pasar por alto el Manto de María, el monumento dedicado a la Divina Pastora. Es impresionante estar allí y contemplar la inmensidad de la estructura mientras se tiene una vista panorámica de toda la ciudad.
📍First stop: Barquisimeto and its faith
Our journey began in the “Musical Capital.” We couldn't miss the Manto de María, the monument dedicated to the Divina Pastora. It's impressive to stand there and take in the sheer size of the structure while enjoying a panoramic view of the entire city.
Luego, decidimos caminar un poco por el Parque Zoológico y Botánico Bararida. Es un pulmón vegetal increíble en medio de la ciudad, ideal para conectar con la fauna y disfrutar del aire fresco antes de seguir la ruta. Tenía bastante tiempo que no venía, así que fue grato tener nuevos recuerdos.
Then, we decided to take a short walk through the Bararida Zoo and Botanical Garden. It’s an incredible green oasis in the middle of the city, perfect for getting up close with the wildlife and enjoying the fresh air before continuing on our way. It had been quite a while since I’d been there, so it was nice to make some new memories.
🌲 El destino final Sanare, "El Jardín de Lara"
Después de un par de horas en carretera, el clima empezó a cambiar. Dejamos atrás el calor de la ciudad para subir a las montañas de Sanare.
Finalmente llegamos a nuestro hogar por esta noche: Cabaña Tierra Blanca. Es un lugar maravilloso, rodeado de verde, con esa arquitectura rústica que te invita de inmediato a bajar las revoluciones y simplemente respirar. El silencio aquí es un regalo.
🌲 The final destination Sanare, “The Garden of Lara”
After a couple of hours on the road, the weather began to change. We left the city’s heat behind as we made our way up into the mountains of Sanare.
We finally arrived at our home for the night: Cabaña Tierra Blanca. It’s a wonderful place, surrounded by greenery, with rustic architecture that immediately invites you to slow down and simply breathe. The silence here is a gift.
