Hi friends,
How was your weekend?
I'm Tani and I'm glad to be back. I hope you all have a nice day with the best. Today I would like to introduce to everyone a place where you can both camp and hunt for clouds along the way at weekend. That is the top of Hai Van's pass.
And this trip happened before the complicated COVID epidemic.
The parking location at the Suoi Chanh is nearly 15 kilometers from the University of Science and Technology and nearly 30 kilometers from the city center of Da Nang by motorbike.
At here, there is a parking service for visitors, each motorbike kept overnight will cost from 10,000 - 20,000 VND / 1 motorbike. The valet service is great here so you don't have to worry about your car getting damaged or lost.
After solving the vehicle problem, we start climbing to the top of Hai Van pass where we will camp. Next to the parking lot, there will be a path and it took us 3 hours to walk and climb the winding slopes. Go 1/3 of the way, you will see 3 paths ahead. You will probably wonder which direction to choose to continue. Don't worry about it because I'm here to show you the way. You just go straight on the road in the middle, the way uphill is wide, so it's easy to recognize.
The road here is also quite dangerous because there are sections that are not yet traveled, so the trails have not yet appeared. It is very difficult to climb. So I think you on the first leg you find yourself a stick and use it to make climbing easier. For example, the stick I used in the photo below.
We stopped to rehydrate and rest twice during the journey to the campsite. Besides, we took advantage of taking pictures together because we didn't want to waste time in this wonderful place.๐ท
The higher you climb, the easier you can reach the clouds with your hands, although the air is fresh, but a bit wasteful. The higher you go, the lower the atmospheric pressure will make you feel cold. I feel like I'm standing in the city of Da Lat.๐คฃ
We finally reached the top of the pass after a long time and chose a good place to pitch our tent and be able to see Da Nang city at night. I've never set up a tent before. Fortunately, there is one person in my group who is a master of backpacking ๐คฃ. He is well versed in such works. Not only that, the tools we brought with us for camping were all his and we didn't need to rent any.
After setting up the tent we began to prepare dinner consisting of grilled meat served with vegetables, bread, and cucumber. Enjoy the food you make yourself while watching the whole beautiful city of Da Nang at night. I think you will like this.
When the sun begins to rise, the sea wakes up after a long sleep. There is nothing more wonderful than waking up very early to watch the sunrise and listen to the sounds of nature such as birdsong, the sound of ocean waves. These sounds help me wake up from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I want to give a big thank you to my senior, my roommate who introduced me to this backpacking team. And this is a great place to de-stress after a week of work. Try to come here once and enjoy it.
