Hello, the beautiful people of the Hive universe! In my Shanghai and Nanjing trip, I have explored and visited many places and some of them were really amazing and first time experience with those attractive views are still fresh in my mind. As a part of my series blogs, today I am going to share about one of the most attractive place in Shanghai with a huge collection of Marine animals the Shanghai Ocean aquarium. The aquarium is located in the city center area just near the iconic tower 'The Oriental Pearl TV Tower' which is one of the best tower for city exploration in the new Pudong area which is regarded as the modern Shanghai with a lot of skyscrapers.
It is great opportunity to explore the ocean and marine animals in a large arrangements in their native environment (as much as possible) and the tourist like me can easily overwhelmed who love to see these amazing creatures. The multistoried building is a house of a huge collection of fishes and other animals like seals, sharks and many others which are all from the seas. The colorful animals and the liveliness of these creatures will definitely attract your eyes and fill your heart with a joy. A couple of hours will be easily gone by watching these animals swimming in the crystal clear water without any boringness with the varieties of the colors, shapes and physical appearances!
My favorites seahorses and jellyfish corner
It was an amazing journey to visit the aquarium and a lot of parts I couldn't take much photos and often I was unable to take some good photos as the whole space was very crowdy. As I was visiting during the New Year's eve, all the people were also visiting all the available spots everywhere!
But I have some favorites spots there and they are the seahorses and the jellyfish corners, and as usual those place were more crowded and I had to wait more than 20 minutes to take some close shots of these beautiful seahorse, but they are really beautiful and so small to shot clearly in such crowdy place.
The same case for the jellyfishes also which was really amazing. The movement was just something which you can watch for hours. And the colorfulness was also very stunning though these are fake I think to make them more attractive!
But the I can assure you that the jellyfish corner will definitely make you happy in the whole exploration. And I have spent more than a hours only to observe the jellyfishes and the seahorses! I have also taken some video clips which will make you happy.
If you visit Shanghai then it is very convenient to have a visit there if you are a fish lover and bored with watching such beautiful fishes only in TV. Or if you have no option for deep diving in the ocean which is really a challenging one and needs training and luck to watch a lot of species in a short period of time though the real ocean exploration is something beyond this type of aquarium but it worth visiting in city life for a solid holidays with family.
Me and y friend went there by metro as it is very convenient to go there from anywhere in Shanghai. We have faced a huge gathering there specially the children seemed to be so excited to watch the colorful fishes. The entry was started with the smaller fishes as we keep in our home and they are more colorful than the bigger ones later. The inside environment was quite dark and lighting was managed properly to the aquarium area which make the fishes more beautiful than the usual.
After exploring the current level we had to move to the lower floor to the second section of the fishes which are more oceanic and seems to be lived in the deep sea. The previous part was relatively the coastal fishes and many of these are sold in the market but the later sections are more rare to see in general market.
Before entering the next section we were moved through a smaller tunnel of a whole big aquarium with some larger fishes and a lot of fished in different size and shapes. it seems that we are going to watch the bigger fishes now but the bigger fishes and marine animals are waiting far away from the exploration.
After those smaller fish zone, I have come to see some bigger fishes and some other marine animals which are not fish but very attractive to explore. And most of these are totally new to me as I have never seen such creatures in real eyes.
Also, there are some smaller animals and some are bigger but still that time I was searching for the sharks, eels, and the other bigger animals to have a close look on them.

Finally there were several long tunnels with tons of different animals and larger fishes which can be seen up to the exit section. I have another video on those tunnels of 12 minutes long, so you can easily guess how large the final aquarium tunnels are and they are full of Sharks and other larger marine animals. It was a great and pleasant time there!
