Visiting any new place is my hobby but when that place is in the lap of nature then I feel much more excited and the lakeside great wall is more than I expect there. Excellent weather and clear sky with the white clouds have made all the pictures excellent shots that I have taken there. I can say without any doubt that traveling the Lakeside Great Wall in Huairou, Beijing is an unforgettable experience that takes you through some of the most stunning great wall scenery in China.
It is known to all that the Great Wall is an iconic symbol of China that represents the great and amazing architectural capability of the country and is recognized as one of the greatest wonders of the world, and the Lakeside section of the Great Wall in Huairou is one of the best places to experience its true beauty. The Lakeside Great Wall is located in Huairou district which is in the northern part of Beijing, about 70 kilometers from the city center. And the lake-side great wall is around another 60+ km away from the Huairou city center and can be accessed by car or public transportation. But I prefer private transport which will be more convenient to keep you from the hassle of the public bus, the only public transport available there. The Lakeside section of the Great Wall stretches there providing its best scene with stunning views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
Here the Great Wall you can climb is mostly from the Ming dynasty which was originally built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) as part of the defense system to protect China from invaders which is the reason for building the world's greatest wall built ever. The wall in this section is mostly made of granite, with many of the original bricks still visible. The Lakeside Great Wall is known for its stunning scenery surrounding it and the lake adds an amazing view from every direction, and visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the lake, the surrounding mountains, and the wall itself.Â
