Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and any other wonderful being who has stumbled onto this!
It seems the UK has been gripped with rain, I know we have had a few days of it, which is unusual for us in our wee coastal corner in the Kingdom. So to brighten up the day let me regale you with a stroll along the Kirkcaldy esplanade in Scotland from Wednesday 28th January 2026.
It was windy, but not as windy as about five days ago.
Then it was spring tide and winds and the waves were smashing on the esplanade wall!
The sun was out some of the time!
The tide was out which meant the oystercatchers were out looking for shellfish!
Surfs Up!
Made for some good pics of birds in the air.
Although to be fair I ended up taking more video than photos. You have to have b roll for when you have a youtube channel I found out!
I am sure I have seen this wife before, I am not sure what she looks at!
Plenty of people were out walking in the sunshine.
It was cold, but the sun was vanishing and being replaced by the haar or sea fog.
Behind me the sun was still there keeping the haar at bay on the bay!
The crows were out and about doing their murder thing!
Pups always want to have fun!
And don't mind getting wet.
The latest storms have reshaped this, it was a big oval shaped pond or reservoir now the stream just fans out into the sea!
Giddy up it is time for home!
Lang Toun coast
We are the Lang Toun or long town and this was the coast!
