Pulangbato Falls
Hello there, Hive Community! I'd like to share our Dumaguete trip, as we did with our most recent trip. We took a ship from Siquijor to Dumaguete after our trip in Siquijor. We arrived around Sunday evening and planned to go on a short tour the following day to Pulangbato Falls and Forest Camp in Valencia, Negros Oriental.
Our trip from Siquijor to Dumaguete serves two purposes: we get to enjoy and explore the places, and we get to have John's passport in Dumaguete because he schedules it there because we can't get it in Cebu City due to limited slots.

The travel time going to Pulangbato Falls from our hotel is about 30 minutes if you are going there by motorcycle or car. We arrived around 8 am in the morning. The place is huge as they have a lot of swimming pools that you can swim aside from the falls. Entrance fee is 100 pesos per person ($2). The place is very accesible, too.
Because the weather was so nice and sunny at the time, our photos turned out fantastic. We were blown away by the location. Pulangbato Falls gets its name from the words "pula" (red) and "bato" (rock). The red rocks were formed as a result of high water sulfur, which turns the rocks a red-orange color. They are also a pet-friendly resort, with very friendly and gentle dogs.
They also have a hanging bridge that you can cross to get to the other side if you want to get a closer look at the falls. In our case, we just took pictures there because I am afraid of heights and we didn't make it to the other side.
We decided to go down to take pictures and to look closely to the falls. Such a wonderful place. Thanks to the staff for taking our request to take us a picture together. The staffs there are very friendly as they will always greet you with a smile.
If you want to go down and get close to the falls, you must take the stairs or the bridge into the other side. The bridge and the upper part of the area can be seen from below. You will notice the red rocks and how peaceful the area is. You simply must tread carefully because there are numerous rocks. Plus the water is so cold. We only stayed for about 20 minutes because John wanted to swim in the pools above.
This is one of the resort's pools, and you can see how much John enjoyed it. If you want to stay overnight, they have accommodations and a restaurant for your food needs. We stayed for about an hour and a half because we had another location to visit. If you are in Dumaguete, it is highly recommended that you visit here.
Before arriving at Pulangbato Falls, you can visit the Mag-Aso Volanic Steam. You must wear a mask here because the vents emit sulfuric smoke, which emits a foul odor. You can stop here and take some pictures.
Next, we will go to Forest Camp Resort and I will share it in my next post ❤️
