The pandemic really did hit a lot of us badly. May it be in terms of financial, physical, social, etc. Well for me, it greatly affected my mental health. A lot of us felt so anxious and stressed about everything around us because of this pandemic, quarantine, lockdown, and different restrictions.
I got depressed too. I even lived away from home for a couple of months at the start of the lockdown here in Cebu. Thatβs so hard. A lot of things are going in my head, especially since everything seems unsure. Good thing I got my friends with me to help me get through this stage. We decided to book a room through Airbnb in a hotel nearby.

I think we all needed this kind of break. Away from all these stress and problems even just for a day or two. My two colleagues from work together with the cousin of one of them joined me in my attempt to try to breathe some fresh air.
The owner of the room that weβll rent is very accommodating. She processed everything for us so that weβll be allowed to use the room. Taking into consideration the pandemic, restrictions in such places are also heightened.
We waited for him at the gazebo before he turned over the keys to us. But of course, we wouldn't miss the chance to take pictures at the facade of the building before anything else hahaha. π·

Like other hotels and establishments, common areas like swimming pool needs to be booked ahead as to prevent the surge of people and still have a proper social distancing. Luckily, the 9am-11am schedule for usage of the amenity is still not reserved. So we grabbed the time and went straight to it after leaving our things in our room and getting dressed in our swimming attire.
It's been months since we've been this free.

After swimming, our stomachs rumbled making us look for some foods to eat. To save more money, we bought ready and easy to cook foods with us. We cooked sweet soy chicken for lunch.
We played some Jenga, a famous game where players will get one block from the stacked tower and hope that the tower won't fall when it's their turn to make a move.
We also watched some movies in their sofa. The area looks and feels so light, aesthetically-good. If I were to have my own house soon, I would like to have this kind of design for my sofa too.
To make the most out of this aesthetically-good background, we created a bunch of Tiktok videos hahaha.
We made some carbonara for dinner. But we weren't able to finish all of it so we ate it also the next day haha. We made fried rice, ham, bacon, egg, and coffee for our breakfast.
The guard of the building knocked on our room to tell us not to hang our towels on the balcony hahaha. Sorry π .
The place overall is good and is aesthetically-good especially at night since it is overviewing the town. The city lights look so dazzling at night.
We paid a total rent of P2,054 (41 USD) for our 1 day stay at Apple One. Well it's quite expensive but, we do think it's just worth it. And it's not that heavy to pay since we divided the payment among ourselves.
We all deserve a break from everything that's been keeping us down. π
THE GOOD B.I. is a group of 4 employees-friends from Cebu City wanting to share their adventures and random ideas with everyone. The groupβs future stories to tell will be so vast and diverse. Imagine having four brains to share different ideas and might end up in a disagreement. A feat that others might be so fearful to do, but they believe that it is what will make their posts more exceptional and remarkable.
