Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing good. I often visit new places that are all over social media but today I decided to visit my own village and its surroundings and that surprisingly made my day.
I started with the temples said to have existed since 15th century.
This picture is of Kalu Naag Devta temple. The story goes long back to 13th century about a boy named Kalu who was worshiper of Baba Balak Nath. The temple has been renovated this year and on completion of its renovation a grand function was organised where almost 4 thousands people were gathered.
This temple is said to be of elder brother of Kalu Naag Devta. It is the oldest temple among all 4 temples of Kalu naag devta.
The temple is built on a 50 feet wall of that century which is still standing.
This is the old Sabhagar of temple the stones on floor not even had a crack on them just a little grass growing between them.
After visiting temples and getting blessings we visited a old house in neighbourhood. They have almost broken down the house but some old things of that era are still there.
The old houses that have walls of clay roof of slates. They used cow dung and clay mixture as paint.
This is the door lock of that era. For me it was really fascinating and my excitement was on peek.
The doors of this era did not had any handles they were opened from top. The doors did not had any hinges either they were have and attached from top to a wooden hole.
This hole was used to hold the door by putting a heavyweight wooden log.
Some call it emergency door or escape door and some say it was a door to visit cowshed at night.
My whole day was filled with excitement as I got to know about my ancestors, how they used to live.
If you are a history lover like me, you are going to love it. I Hope you like them.
Thank you for your time :)
