Hello all Hivers, have a nice week!
I was born and raised in Nam Dinh city, Vietnam. I love every corner, every street in my city. I like the peace and the rhythm of life is not too busy here. Today, let's explore some of the architecture of the old houses where I lived when I was little
Like Hanoi, Nam Dinh is an ancient city that was formed a very long time ago. If Hanoi has 36 old streets, Nam Dinh also has 40 old streets. Although the old town today has been renamed and the houses have been built more modern, the city still retains a few old houses with very old architecture.
The prominent tones of these houses are red and yellow. The house is built of red bricks and the roof is made of tiles. In the old days in Vietnam, construction materials were quite simple but its durability was very good over time. Houses are built no more than 2 floors, many houses have only 1 floor. Ancient architecture with a bit of Chinese design style
During the 13th and 17th centuries, these houses were built and lived in by the rich. They are usually mandarins or landowners. People's houses will be simpler
I always hope these houses will last forever as a witness of time. I grew up, went to school, and walked past these houses. It's like the friends I grew up with. Now I have come to another city to study and work. Sometimes I go back to my hometown and feel happy because these houses, with this architecture, are still there through rain or shine.
Nam Dinh has a very peaceful and fresh air. People live slowly, without crowding and competition. Along with the old streets and houses, the human personality is also very nostalgic and gentle and lovely
If you have the opportunity to come to Nam Dinh city, do not miss Pho - a traditional dish of Vietnam. Pho originated from Nam Dinh. The pho broth is very sweet, and the stir-fried beef blends together to create a delicious bowl of Pho.
Thank you so much for reading my post. Wish you a day full of joy😘😘
