Yesterday I was over the south side of Pattaya city, I needed to visit a car restoration garage in order to assist and advise on a particular job we were having done there I completed all I could do by early afternoon and my boss said I wasn't needed back at the other garage he said I could have the rest of the afternoon to myself, It just was that I happen to be walking distance from a world famous tropical gardens called NongNooch Tropical Garden, I had about four hours to kill before dark so I decided to head over to these gardens there was a fee of $15 US to enter the gardens, I thought well I am here now let me go inside and see what all the fuss and talk was about this world famous tropical gardens.
My first impression as I walked through the gates after purchasing my ticket was 😱 WOW 😱 seeing those 3-4 meter tall Cactuses in front of me, I am in for some surprises here at first I didn't think were real maybe just plastic, was I wrong never have I seen such tall Cactus plants like this before they definitely had to be on steroids and the Cactus Christmas trees amazing.
I had not done at research on these gardens had only heard of them so you can imagine how surprised I was to learn when I read the map that this area I had entered into is made up of 50 different tropical botanical gardens spread over a area of 500 acres I knew that it was going to be impossible to cover this whole area in just less then four hours so I made up my mind that I would stroll through these gardens at an steady pace and just enjoy what I can manage to see today and come back again when I have maybe a day or two up my sleeves.
Just looking at this first hanger looked like about the size of ten airplane hangers this alone was going to be a mission to see it all in less then four hours but I wasn't going to rush it because every single thing I was looking at was leaving me in awe, like this Tuk-Tuk made up of small pot plants and the love hearts including those archways how clever to get all these pot plants to hold together.
I honestly couldn't see or focus from one end of the hanger to the other and it was two story hanger having walkways leading you around, it was just incredible what I was seeing here all these Cactuses, Ferns, Flowers, and Tropical Palm trees all huge, oversized definitely on steroids and mixed in with all statues of Dinosaurs was giving me the impression they were trying to made you think you were walking through Jurassic Park, just like in the movie and it was working because it was exactly how I feeling.
Just walking around this huge hanger seeing all these different types of cactuses, succulent plants, and tropical palm gardens was amazing and certainly impression, many that I was seeing I have never seen before I was getting excited to come back again because I knew I just was not going to be able to see all these beautiful gardens in the short time I had, I was seeing these open tour electric buggies driving around the area that you can get on for a extra fee but I wasn't going to jump on them, I wanted to see everything close up not just drive pass them.
This whole Jurassic Park Theme was inspired by Mr Pisit and Mrs Nongnooch Tansacha from when they travel aboard they were taken in by all the natural beauty around the world and when they returned to there homeland been Thailand they decided to buy this 500 acres plot of land and they slowly started building their dream, it first opened up it's doors in 1980 Mr Pisit and Mrs Nongnooch Tansacha since passed away but today there son Mr Kampon Tansacha, continuous to work and improve these amazing world gardens.
Definitely a lot of thought and man hours have gone into creating this Jurassic park theme and still continuous today in maintaining all these gardens I can see by looking at them a lot of love and care goes into this stunning operation every minute of the day.
When I had reached the end of this huge Cactus garden hanger having walked the downstairs part and upstairs part I walked through to the over head walkways which apparently these walkways run for about 1.5 kilometer throughout the park taking you to all the other gardens if you prefer viewing the theme park from above but you can walk of these walkways into any particular garden that you would prefer to see as I was told but that will have to wait till my next visit to these astonishing tropical gardens it was closing time which is 6pm and it was time for me to go home I did stay to the last minute and believe me I didn't want to go home but I will be back to see more how could you not this park has me lost for words and can't wait to come back and see more.
