Hello, everyone. Some of my favorite places to visit are ancient cities and archeological remains. This is exactly the place I will present to you in this post.
The place is called Nebet Tepe and is located in Bulgaria, Plovdiv. The place is recognized as a cultural site of national importance. Here are found the remains of the first prehistoric settlement dating from the 4th century BC.
At the dawn of the ancient city it was inhabited by the Thracians. In 342 BC Philip of Macedon conquered the ancient Thracian settlement and was renamed Philippopolis.
Many buildings and towers have been found within the boundaries of the Antipan city. One of the most interesting discoveries is a secret tunnel from the 4th century that goes out of the city to the bed of the Maritsa River. It is believed that the apostle Paul passed through here.
The city's water reservoirs used during sieges have also been preserved. Of great interest is the rectangular water storage with a capacity of 350 cubic meters. Nowadays this is one of the most visited places in Plovdiv by tourists and locals. In addition to touching the history here we can observe the desired city from above. The views are beautiful. The access to the place is easy, to get to it we pass through the old town of Plovdiv, which I will show in another post
I saw a beautiful cat she also like that place
Thank you for reviewing my post.
I wish you all the best❤
