Day hike to Tyulenovo Cliffs in Bulgaria
Hello dear travel lovers
What amazing places have you explored lately?
I am happy to be with you today here in the community and share with you a day spent with some friends exploring an amazing area of Tyulenovo, Bulgaria.
How did the idea of visiting this place come about?
Being on holiday in Mamaia resort on the Black Sea, doing almost the same thing every day the routine (walks, beach, sun, sunrise, sunset, boat rides on the sea) came in and pretty soon we started coming up with ideas of what we could do in the area.
Having been coming to this resort for a very long time the options to do something we haven't done yet were very few to near zero.
After several conversations with some friends in Bucharest I came to a conclusion. They also wanted to get away from the crowded city, Bucharest being the capital of Romania.
But what could we do because in the area of the resort where we were we had no options, after some searches on the internet we found a location also near the Black Sea but not in Romania but in Bulgaria.
The idea came as a breath of fresh air for everyone, so the night before we worked out the details of the next trip.
The plan was very simple, the next day they were to leave in the morning for the Black Sea coast where we were staying.
This also happened, from Bucharest to Mamaia resort they drove about 3 hours, because the road was not so crowded.
We met in front of the hotel where we were staying and with their car we drove further towards the Bulgarian border.
The trip was special because we managed to pass through other resorts on the Black Sea, some of the resorts we didn't get to go to because they didn't have such good reviews.
We finally arrive at customs here to my amazement very few cars were waiting to pass through customs, it didn't take too long and forget it in Bulgaria, after passing customs from a kiosk we bought the toll which cost us 10 euros for seven days.
Looking at the GPS we saw that we still had about 40km to go to Tyulenovo, which we should have covered in 40-50minutes, the place being quite close to the customs.
It's just that by the time we got there we had made a thousand more stops along the way, because we couldn't pass without stopping and watching the waves of the sea crash against the rough rocks on the shore.
So after an hour and a half according to the GPS we were already there, with the car it was a bit harder as we couldn't find a parking place and we left it in the parking lot of a restaurant, although I don't know if the restaurant liked that.
We walked along some narrow alleys and after a while the place got steeper and steeper, and after a few more minutes of walking we reached the place we had only seen in some vlogs the night before.
With our mouths agape we looked at the shapes of the rocks shaped by the sea water, on their edges we saw children painting on drawing sheets these idyllic places.
I was surprised how many tourists were already there, many were waiting in line to get as close as possible to the edge of the cliffs to capture some amazing pictures (I know it was quite dangerous to take pictures on the edge of the cliffs).
During my time here I went up and down all the places here to take several hundred pictures, many of which I have attached here.
At one point we got tired and hungry so we got in the car and drove back to Romania, we had enough for one day adventure.
But the road to Romania and especially the customs crossing on the way back was an ordeal, we had the feeling that all the tourists from Bulgaria wanted to cross to Romania, but with a lot of patience we managed to get back to the resort late in the evening, and our friends went back to Bucharest (it was very hard the road today for them, they had a lot of driving, but it was worth it).
Today's adventure in Tyulenovo, Bulgaria my dears ends here, I thank all of you who support me, all of you who have stopped by, and until the next adventure, I say goodbye.
