First time in Malta, how we got here, room tour and a walk around
Hello my dears
Have you ever heard of Malta?
Did you know that Malta has one of the smallest capitals in Europe with only 7000 inhabitants, and the smallest city in Europe after the Vatican, here you only need a few hours to cross the country from one side to the other.
Yes, today we will travel together to Malta, although we have visited many impressive places here that I want to share with you today I want to dwell on how we got here, the accommodation we had as well as a bit of the hotel surroundings.
For the most part flights to many destinations are made from the capital of Romania, Bucharest, do not get me wrong that only here you can fly, we also have other cities that have airports where you can fly to many destinations.
We also chose to make a trip to Malta by flight from Bucharest, we traveled the distance from western Romania to Ploiesti in about 7-8 hours, on this route there is an area called Prahova Valley which is extremely crowded (here on a relatively short distance you can spend a few hours).
We came all the way to Ploiesti because from here we left with our friends, who took care of the ticket purchase and online check-in.
Everything went very well, we got through the security checks, the flight was a pleasant one with no turbulence and forget that we arrived at Malta airport.
Very quickly we passed the controls here and started looking for a solution to get to St. Julians, here we had accommodation.
There is a lot to say about transport in Malta, but I can only conclude that the public transport system works very poorly.
I didn't think too long and ordered a Bolt(comparing waiting time and cost of a trip), this one sure works, I can say that although I almost missed the car, I made the best choice.
We made friends with the Bolt's driver and decided to use only him in exploring Malta (he behaved exemplary and the car was an almost new Ford Kuga Hybrid).
I almost forgot to tell you a small detail, here we drive on the right side, just like in England or other countries, of course I wanted to get in the car on the right side (just like I do in Romania when I go with someone in a car and I am not the driver) the driver started laughing and asked me if I wanted to drive the car to my destination, hehe.
Yes, we got over this comical moment and after half an hour we arrived at our accommodation, the Cavalieri Art Hotel ****.
A great accommodation despite having a relatively low rating, here we had a couple of days where we had breakfast included.
While the accommodation we had was very close to a fishing port in St. Juliens, on a few evenings when we had some free time and chose to explore the surroundings, we discovered fantastic places, chic restaurants, local restaurants with traditional food.
Did you know that their traditional food is made from rabbit meat?
Until the next post from this fairytale place today the exploration of Malta ends here.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
