The Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, living proof of the opulent Arabic style
Hello travelers
In today's blog we are still in the capital of the Arab Emirates and we will visit together one of the most important places in Abu Dhabi, the Presidential Palace, Qasr Al Watan (translated means Palace of the Nation).
We are here as part of an organized group (you already know this from older blogs), before we got here our guide made us aware of the rules here.
If in the last blog I presented Qasr Al Hosn (you can see it right here) the palace where we had direct access from the street, here everything changes, with our bus we went to a point, this of course after it was checked, here we arrived at the ticket office where there were two queues, one for those who did not have tickets and one for those with online tickets (honestly those who did not have tickets taken online had no chance to enter because from what I saw there were many tourists with online tickets and access inside was limited).
Our tickets consisted of QR codes, which were scanned to go ahead, the next step was our check, you should know that you are not allowed to enter with backpacks, only with purses or something very small.
I was trying to remember how much a ticket cost here (somewhere up to 12-15$/person) but if you want to visit this place I recommend you to check the official website or at the same time you can opt as we did with a travel agency in Dubai.
After we finished with all the procedures from this point we were taken to a bus (these buses are used strictly to transfer tourists from the ticket counters to the palace entrance) that took us to a point quite close to the palace entrance, I mention that visiting this palace is not done as we cut our heads but only guided by the staff there who are ready to help you anytime.
After getting off the bus we had a few more steps to go to the Presidetial Palace, honestly, I was speechless, everything was impeccable, everything was impeccable, worked in the smallest detail, I honestly don't even know what to write, I can't express in words what I saw before my eyes.
Let's take a look inside this palace.
Qasr Al Watan is a working Presidential palace in Abu Dhabi and a majestic cultural landmark that invites you to discover the rich legacy of knowledge and tradition that has shaped the UAE's journey. More than just a traditional palace, Qasr Al Watan boosts cultural understanding of the nation and emphasises its incredible history. The palace stands as an icon of Abu Dhabi's skyline with a design exquisitely crafted to tribute to its Arabian heritage and artistry. You will feel the grandeur as you enter the grounds. The structure and open halls echo its significance in Emirati culture. Qasr Al Watan places a strong emphasis on learning and knowledge sharing. Here, you can expect to learn about the formation of the UAE and the country's governing traditions and values. The palace highlights Arab contributions to various fields of knowledge and gives you access to halls typically reserved for official summits. Inside, you'll also find the Qasr Al Watan Library and the House of Knowledge, where history and culture buffs and scholars can explore a vast collection of books, manuscripts and other resources about the UAE and learn about the nation's progressive journey.
I can't help myself and I leave below some pictures of the toilets that tourists can use when visiting the palace, speechless.
The first picture is the waiting room.
And here's inside the restroom.
Imagine stepping into a world where the new and the old come together beautifully. Here, every stone whispers stories of the deep roots of the United Arab Emirates. Qasr Al Watan, the UAE's Presidential Palace, is a proud emblem of national identity. Since its opening in 2019, this stunning palace has welcomed guests. Now, you can immerse yourself in Abu Dhabi's cultural treasures like never before.
The palace design is rich in Islamic and Emirati styles, making it a cultural icon. Its exterior features beautiful sculptures and large domes, blending tradition with modernity. It won the public sector project of the year at the Middle East Architects Awards.
In conclusion of today's blog what can I say, Qasr Al Watan left me speechless, so much information but also a special architecture specific to the Arab style, visiting here took me to new heights, I hope that what you have seen here to inspire me and you to visit this place.
THE END!
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
