We walked above the trees in Lombkorona Sétány in Mako, Hungary
Hello travelers
This past weekend I made a short visit to Mako, a small town in Hungary which is not very far from where I live.
Some time ago Romania entered the Schengen area and as a result of this, Romanians can travel in the Schengen area without having to spend a lot of time through customs, here I am referring to land borders.
The border crossing between Romania and Hungary through the town of Nadlac was a nightmare before, so last weekend we decided to experience the benefits of Romania's accession to the Schengen area.
It was the first time we crossed by land since we have been in the Schengen area, the Schengen effect we have only experienced through airports.
The road was very nice (except for a part in Hungary, which was a bit bumpy), and when we got to the customs area everything was deserted, I couldn't believe I didn't have to stand in long queues, I remember queuing for two hours in this customs, a nightmare.
That's it, we're in Hungary (even our cell phone tells us that, hehe) we still have about 30 kilometers to Mako.
I liked Mako from the beginning, it's a green city, but in the city center we encountered a problem, the city center was closed due to a festival so we had to reconfigure the route a bit.
In a few minutes I was already in the parking lot of this place, I was glad to see that there are quite a lot of parking spaces.
From the parking lot I've seen that you can even take a tourist train that goes around the city.
I was a bit nervous because I forgot to take out cash, the currency in Hungary is called forint, but don't worry, you can pay with your card.
The cost of an entrance ticket is 1500 forinti/ 4 euro/ person, if you plan a visit here you really have to enter on their website because if it rains it is possible that this place will be closed, just to protect visitors.
As I'm sure you've already realized from the title of the blog it's about a path that winds above the trees, it's a construction that takes you to another world, a fairytale.
With the purchased tickets we can move on after scanning them.
Come with us to explore the path above the trees.
The path is about 200 meters long (it is not long but it is spectacular) and the height increases as you go forward on it, it has a height of about 10 meters, but the most spectacular part is the highest point in the tower that we will visit, there we climb up to 20 meters.
Walking along the path we discovered enough information panels in Hungarian, English and even Romanian, another point of attraction is the slide that starts at the top of the tower (20 meters) and goes all the way to the bottom.
Our visit here was an amazing experience, so if we have explored the path at the top we are going to the bottom, especially since right next to it is the river Mures.
Even here everything is fabulous, the birds are singing, we met a few fishermen and some young people boating on the Mures river, and yes, a perfect relaxing atmosphere.
My dear visitors we have reached the final point of this blog, I thank you for stopping by.
THE END!
