How are you all my dear friends? I hope you are all well. In today's post, I have shared with you a beautiful Jill "Deoriatal" located at a height. Deoriatal is a beautiful Jill located at an altitude of approximately 8150 feet above sea level. Which is a beautiful jill covered from the tops of the surrounding mountains. Deoriatal is a beautiful Till situated between the mountains in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
Deoriatal is famous for its religious significance as well as being a major tourist attraction. There are 2 beautiful places for trekking near this Jill, one of which is the famous temple of Lord Shiva named Tungnath Mahadev. People come from far and wide to visit.
In these photographs you will see what is the main feature of this Jill. Looking at Jill in the photographs, one can see the reflections of the surrounding mountains and trees. Due to which this place is also a center of attraction for those who are fond of photography. There are also a few myths associated with Jill. It is said that Deoriatal is also connected with the time of Mahabharata period.
It is said that gods and goddesses reside in the heavens. Which comes to visit the earth at intervals of time. It is believed that when Indradev and the gods and goddesses who came with him came to earth, they used to bathe in this jil. So the name of this Jill is Jill of the Gods meaning "Deoriatal". These are really very interesting things that I have come to know through the local guide who lives here.
Another belief of the Mahabharata period is that the Pandavas were exiled for 13 years. It is said in a chapter of Mahabharata that Yaksha asked a question to the Pandavas. Those questions were asked right on the edge of this jill. It is also said that Bhima made this jill when the Pandavas were thirsty.
It is the beauty of Deoria Tal Lake that attracts thousands of tourists every year. Dense forests, innumerable trees, colorful flowers and animals and birds are seen around it. It is also called the grassland of Uttarakhand. The reflections of the peaks of the surrounding mountains are clearly visible in the water of the lake. This is what makes its charm the most amazing.
I am fascinated by all these things and the beauty of this place. This is a really sacred and beautiful place to visit once in a while. People also do camping here where they make tents and arrange overnight stays. The pleasure of spending the night in the lap of nature is wonderful.
