Radhe Radhe everyone!
Greatful for the love and support on the previous post. Here is a link, in case you missed it.
As you all are aware by now that Ladakh is located in northernmost part of Indian subcontinent and it is surrounded by the high rangers of Himalayas so today's we are going to witnesses them.
RUGGED AND POINTED MOUNTAINS
The roads of the Ladakh are most beautiful yet most difficult and challenging. You can see the high rocks that surrounds the road. Generally as far as i know they aee made up of sand and stones and took millions of years for formation. Which means we are currently looking at masterpiece which took years and eons. With every passing second the landscape turn arround you and unfolds it's beauty that has taken lots of years for it's formation. On our way to back from Moore plains I have taken these pictures and I'm glad how they turned. Near the Nubra valley and pang we saw these huge striking sand dunes and it left us speechless. Totally beautiful and unique in its own way.
SAND STROM AT PANG
While crossing a bridge near Nubra valley, I can't even explain in word what we saw. Huge strom occurred and the sand from the sand dunes started to erode and within fraction og second there was sand all arround, We couldn't even able to open our eyes and the dunes changed there shape. It has a great and significant effect on the environment as well as landscape. Just like the thousands of small sand dunes get formed and destroyed in a day. Sometimes the strom doesget convert into the sandstone and God that's really dangerous. The visibility decrease to nearly zero and you lost control over your vehicle. It also affect your health as these are very small dust particles which gets into your respiratory organ and cause respiratory disorder. Its not dangerous only for humans, it also affect the little vegetation flourishing there. Cause of strom, plants becomes totally occupied by the sand and leads to there burial.
SAND DUNES
We moved from there as soon as possible and then again after covering few kilometres we saw some really beautiful and magnificent sand dunes. I coud'nt take my eyes off and loved the small details and the structure. How could one not stop and stare at these beauties. There is an interesting process behind the formation of these dunes. Cause of the erosion of the sand the loose sand gets transported and deposited in a new place. And over so many years such process continues leading to the formation of tall and broad Dunes.
FROZEN WATERFALL
You can see completely frozen small waterfall, well you can imagine the temple here. The below zero temperature gave us chills and wake our spirits up.
SHARP EDGED ROCK
Started from the plains and now we were between the rocks, huge and sharp edged rocks. They were so huge and were standing tall. For the adventure seekers its heaven and if you are a trekker then you can set this as your nest destination. I believe one can't explore beauty of Zanskar, Ladakh in a single lifestyle. With every passing seconds something new unfolds in front of you. You will experience glaciers, mountains, planes, sand dunes, monestry and still there is more which is left. That's why I love the place, its calmness and beauty.
That's all for today guys.
Hope you find the pictures interesting.
