My friends and I recently visited the village of Kondolovo, which is located in the heart of the mystical Strandzha mountain.
The tranquility that reigns in the village is captivating. The feeling of being there and walking and stepping between these ancient houses and buildings, with typical Strandzha architecture from the 19th and early 20th centuries is respectful.
As of 2024, the village's population is 13 people. It's a shame that many of the houses are uninhabited, and others are in a deplorable state. And yet the walk was so interesting.
There is a working cafe in the village.
There was also an old general store, which has always been closed, but this particular door was open and we went inside. It turned out that we had to go out, because the owner explained to us that the store has not been functioning for a long time and is now only used as a warehouse.
The village hall:
In the courtyard of the town hall there are boards with photos from the past that remind us of the history of the village, cultural events and customs that are preserved to this day.
In the center of the village is the church of St. George, which was built 7 years ago. In the past, there was a large stone church in the village, which was unfortunately destroyed.
Next to the church there is a stone fountain and behind it a beautiful view of the mountain and the village of Bulgari.
Thank you for stopping by!
