Traveling along the Southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, I wanted to visit the lighthouse of the town of Ahtopol, which is said to be one of the most beautiful on the Black Sea.
Arriving in Ahtopol, we felt the spirit of the Black Sea city and decided to take a walk.
The city is located about 60 km southeast of the center of the city of Burgas and
" is located on a rocky peninsula between Cape Ahtopol and Cape Sveti Yani, along an abrasion terrace."

We set off from the boardwalk and were immediately struck by gorgeous views of the sea.
Wide spaces with high and steep cliffs opened up to us:
In addition to the unique views along the alley, we saw large-scale graffiti painted during the "We All Write" festival that took place in 2017.
We saw the artworks of:
Arsek + Erase:

We continued to the city center. We went down the main street where there were restaurants and small shops.
In the center of the city is the town hall, the community center, the post office and a large park with fountains, vegetation and benches.
Next to the park is the Assumption Church, built with original architecture in 2008.
One of the old houses in Ahtopol:

We arrived at the "Holy Ascension of the Lord" memorial temple.
The ancient, cozy and well-preserved old church.
We continued towards the harbor and soon we would see the town's lighthouse.
The alleyway leading to the lighthouse was covered in graffiti, though now erased by time.
There were cute little shops beautifully decorated with nautical elements like this:
We saw pendants, chandeliers, and even pans covered in seashells, clams, and rapans.
A sign pointed us to the Lighthouse Bar which looked quite interesting but was closed.
A few minutes later they opened and we had our morning coffee there.
Now it's time to get to the Lighthouse.
Very impressive for me was the section with beautiful rock formations before the trail to the lighthouse that drew me in and kept my attention. I slowed down to enjoy the moment.
We passed through beautiful rock sections, enjoying the views on all sides.
We pass through the rocks, in places we climbed in the hope of seeing the lighthouse soon.
Here is the lighthouse - already so close but at the same time inaccessible due to the fact that it is located on a rock in the sea that is inaccessible by land.
The lighthouse is a round tower that is built of stone and is 4.8 meters high. It was certainly difficult to maintain in the past due to its remoteness from land, but today it is automated.
"A square base with a height of 3.5m was built on the rock, a round stone tower, 4.8m high, and a two-meter reinforced concrete structure with a smaller diameter, on which an iron prism with a height of 3m was placed."
