Lookout Above Ten Sleep Creek - Wondrous Wyoming

Towards the end of our brief vacation around South Dakota and Wyoming back in early August, we took US Highway 16 through the BigHorn Mountains.

On the Ten Sleep side, we stopped at this magnificent lookout over the Ten Sleep Creek. Once again, Wyoming's majestic scenery was overwhelming despite the weather (and smoke from Montana wildfires.)

First, a panorama in three shots... from East to West.

(That's the next bend of US 16 below there...)

Then, I focused more on Ten Sleep Creek - always loving water.
This creek flows west to the Nowood River, which empties into the Big Horn River, which flows into the Yellowstone River and eventually into the Missouri River... part of the biggest watershed in the Mississippi River system, and therefore the US.

I'm so glad I finally got to go through the Big Horns before leaving Wyoming.
