As soon as we arrived, the sea breeze embraced us gently, and as we glanced at it, it looked so calm and inviting. The beach was so peaceful, not crowded, and had that simple yet local charm. Unlike commercial resorts, we did not hear loud noises like blasting music and loud tourists, instead, we heard the comforting sound of the waves. From the moment we arrived, I could already tell that we had picked the perfect place to relax and enjoy. It was simple, and sometimes, simplicity is what our souls need.
There are rooms for rent, but we did not avail ourselves of them because we were not planning to stay overnight. However, the beach houses still caught my attention. It was simple yet beautiful! I feel bad because I was not able to take a picture of it (but just zoom our background for a glimpse of it). The beach houses themselves carry local charm—nothing too polished, but they gave us warmth, and I know if we rented one of them, it would bring us many simple yet meaningful memories. The beach houses are really great for gatherings, celebrations, or when you just want a solo escape.
We chose a spot near the shore and settled in. We only rented a cottage. One thing I love about outings is that they give me a moment of stillness. The sound of the waves, the scent of salt air, and sun-warmed sand gave me a sense of safety. I always prefer to spend our rest days at the beach because the ocean has a way of washing away things you did not realize you were carrying. It reminded me that I deserve to escape and have a rest too. It also serves as a reminder that despite the chaos of life, we still deserve to enjoy our lives with family, friends, or our own company.
Of course, as a kikay girl, I would never forget to bring my essentials. These products are good, let me know if you want an honest review of my makeup products for the next content!
As we were already settled, we ate our lunch so that we could spend our time having a good time with the ocean. We laughed, we swam, we took photos, and we shared food! It was really a moment of peace. As the day stretched on, we began to feel that sleepy kind of happiness. We were playing the whole day, so of course, this is what it felt like after, but it’s a type of tiredness that I would rather feel for the rest of my life.
I found myself sitting quietly, toes buried in the sand, and watching the other tourists (My bf really managed to take a picture of me). They were really having fun with their friends and family. If only we had the opportunity to have those kinds of moments every single day in our lives, we would not feel too lonely sometimes.
Before we knew it, it was time to pack up. We cleaned up ourselves, said our silent goodbye to the place, took our last glances of the place, and left feeling lighter than when we arrived. Lola Kitay’s Beach House may just be a humble seaside for others, but for me, it was a temporary healing balm for my soul.
That’s all, hivers! I hope this blog reminds you to take a break too. I hope it reminds you that you do not need grand places to visit or luxury amenities to enjoy life. Sometimes, all it takes is a sea, a soft breeze, and a moment of stillness. What really matters is rest and simplicity.
