Hello travel fans! I hope you are well. Because today's times are a little specific to all of us. Today I decided to try to create at least one virtual walk, in an amazing place that I have already written about. But since there is not much that I can show and tell you, I decided to select it in several parts to take as much time as I can to describe everything well.
Thanks to everyone who took part in my previous posts to express their opinion and in this way you really stimulate me to keep looking for places and to take pictures and tell about them. It turned out that the long years I was abroad really affected. I know almost nothing about my homeland, whenever I have been here for a short time I have tried to spend time with my family and I have not traveled so much. But here came the time when I "dropped anchor" on my native land. It is extremely exciting for me to be part of this group and to share these emotions with you, and I am glad to find like-minded people in many of you. This is valuable to me. So, in essence, I continue to the museum.
This is the middle of the museum and the bridge under which the river Sivek said. I decided to shoot from different angles, hoping to see more or less what the atmosphere is like there, although from a regular phone, I think it worked. The light was strong as it burned directly toward the complex. That's why I take the opportunity to capture the "perfect shot". Well, there is still something to learn, but the desire is important.
In today's post I will try to tell about absolutely all the houses we visited there. I shared the first post about a house-museum where weaving took place. Today I will show you other interesting crafts from the past.
This house is her hotel where she can stay, I saw another one where she was at the end of the museum and at the moment additional areas for rest and garden were being cultivated. And on the other side there is a wonderful view of the Balkans.
Copper vessels were made in this house-museum. Various ones were exhibited, as well as the technology they used. By the way, to this day, people who love strong coffee make it on fire in a copper jug. It becomes strong, fragrant and quite large foam (cream too). I recommend that if your body can tolerate strong coffee, try it at least once. You can even find such coffee in Turkish restaurants, I know that some of them still do with this technology as well. Restaurants and more.
A large copper vessels, the Orthodox Church uses for its rituals. For example, on a Christian holiday, the priest prepares holy water in the vessel, a bunch of geraniums, dips it in water and sprinkles the people in the church and says a prayer. Prayer is primarily for health, prosperity and life. Now, as I tell you, I have the feeling that I even smell the incense in question that illuminates icons and the church in the form of candles.
I really do not know whether in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church this is a tradition that is typical of our latitudes, or it exists in other Orthodox countries. I will be really interested to learn from you.
As it is written on the signs in the museum, it is sad that copper vessels are no longer produced according to the old traditions. And new technologies are used and maybe cheap materials that cannot be sustainable and last as long as the ones exhibited in the museum. That's why, as an amateur collector, when I find such an item, I buy it. My friend and I have a villa in the Balkans and I have decided step by step to create jewelry in this style. Completely old style. But as they say in my family "a home is built with love, the other is just a building" I believe the result will be good because when we repair and renovate we not only breathe new life, we also convey our hopes, dreams and expectations. Poor thing, because I want a big family with children, I have prepared him to set up a talk with coffee tables for me and a playground for children. Which is a lot of work, but it's all worth it. After all, whatever a person does in his life, career, business, development, he wants to share this joy with someone, so I wish you from the bottom of my heart. Whatever you achieve in life, there is a faithful person next to you with whom to share both the good and the bad in this life. If this is just a friendly shoulder to lean on, it's also a great asset.By the way, I took pictures of the house at the beginning and the process of repair work, so in the future when spring comes I think to share this with you. I think it will be interesting for many of you as well.
I was deliberately taking pictures in this house-museum, there were knives in it, as well as wooden tables, troughs and a table whose legs were made of wood and the base was made of marble. My grandfather was a warrior, but in the meantime as a hobby he made tables with wood carvings and marble slabs on top. We have one in my mother's house and she hasn't moved, she's about 50 years old. Maybe that's why I love woodcarving and marble so much. Absolutely everything of this kind. In my next post I have prepared a house full of wooden figures depicting Bulgarian kings and khans. Icons, doors and ceilings. So if you are interested you can follow mе.
The photos are from the church there, and the end of the museum to the post.
The latest photos are with a water grinder as well as a high clock tower. Well, those were dear travelers. I hope you liked my post and made you dream of a new destination and adventure. If so, I will be happy for your comments and opinion. Thank you and see you soon.
