Central térmica abandonada
This time it is time to talk about an excursion I made with some friends to the abandoned thermal power station of Aliaga. This power station was inaugurated in 1950 and closed in 1982 due to technical problems and obsolete installations. The main fuel used was coal extracted from the local mines around it.
Esta vez toca hablar sobre una excursión que hice junto a algunos amigos a la central térmica abandonada de Aliaga. Esta central se inauguró en el año 1950 y se clausuró en el año 1982 dado a sus problemas técnicos y a sus instalaciones obsoletas. El principal combustible que se usaba era el carbón que se extraía de las minas locales de su alrededor.

We left the bikes outside the fence. / Dejamos las motos en el exterior de la valla.
The impressive large building is 76 metres long and 36 metres high, impressive to look at from the inside due to the height of the roof. Inside it housed the machinery that was removed when it was dismantled, but the structure remains. To access it we have to go through a small hole in the fence, we have to be careful inside as we could fall from one floor to another or through a hole inside, also if it is windy something could fall on our heads.
El impresionante edificio de grandes dimensiones cuenta con 76 metros de longitud y 36 de altura, impresiona verlo desde dentro debido a la altura del techo. Dentro albergaba la maquinaria que fue retirada en su desmantelamiento pero conserva la estructura. Para acceder tenemos que pasar por un pequeño hueco en la valla, hay que tener cuidado en su interior ya que podríamos caernos de una planta a otra o por algún agujero en su interior, también si hace viento nos podría caer algo en la cabeza.
The majestic building stands before us, I love to visit abandoned places like this, they are risky but worth it. The great chimney stands in the central room where you can see that the weather and its use have eroded it.
El majestuoso edificio se muestra ante nosotros, me encanta visitar lugares abandonados como este, tienen su riesgo pero merece la pena. La gran chimenea se alza en la sala central donde se nota que las inclemencias del tiempo y su uso la han erosionado.
We went deeper into its facilities, captivated by that place we continued exploring, that building seemed big but it was even more immense than we thought so we continued with the adventure.
Nos adentramos aun mas en sus instalaciones, cautivados por aquel lugar seguimos explorando, parecía grande aquel edificio pero era aun mas inmenso de lo que pensábamos así que continuamos con la aventura.
This abandoned building had its charm, iron and concrete adorned this dystopian setting, always looking carefully at the ground so as not to trip, we were left open-mouthed by this lost place.
Aquel edificio abandonado encerraba su encanto, el hierro y hormigón adornaban este escenario distópico, siempre mirando al suelo con cuidado para no tropezarnos nos dejaba la boca abierta este perdido lugar.
Halls of devastated old machinery we discovered one after the other, always with a little fear of the unknown, you never know maybe someone used this building as a shelter and that's why you always have to be cautious.
Salas de antiguas maquinarias devastadas descubríamos una tras otra, siempre con un pequeño temor a lo desconocido, nunca se sabe puede que alguien usase este edificio como refugio y por eso siempre hay que ser precavido.
Now saying goodbye to this place, I strongly recommend you to visit it if you have the opportunity, I loved it and I would come back to explore it again more deeply, so I would photograph it better.
Ya despidiéndonos de este lugar, recomiendo encarecidamente visitarlo si tenéis la oportunidad, a mi me encantó y volvería para explorarlo de nuevo mas profundamente, así lo fotografiaría mejor.
