Isla Grande is located at Free Port Subic Zambales and this place is a kind of small island where many beaches, resorts and some Natural sceneries just like Mangroves and a fresh water areas. From Davao City, it needs to travel a few hours before we reach up Luzon particularly in Manila. After that, it needs to travel by land also a few hours before we reached up Subic port. Riding a small boat going to the island also takes an hour. The traveling time depends on how traffic the road is.
After a few hours of traveling riding by a small boats, this is one of the best place can be seen and found at the Island. The beach sand contains white color and it is very attractive, added with the beautiful seascapes. Beaches and resort are near with each other and it can be visited and walked in the shores. There are lots of big and tall trees and under of those trees are the unique cottages made of light materials just like Bamboo pieces, round lumbers and coconut leaves as a rooftop. Lots of tourist loves to visit this place and enjoying themselves splashing at the sea water.
This are some of the unique cottages built at the place, it is made of light materials and it is built under those big trees so that it will keep the areas cool and relaxing. This Island have already commercial buildings built because of the resorts and beaches just like Restaurant, Souvenir stores and some houses built at the Mountain. Trees can be found here are Molave and mahogany trees, this kind of hardwood trees is perfect to keep and have a shady place. Some of the visitors and tourist who went in this place are came from foreign places.
Not far from the beach, is the Mangrove sanctuary but there are still only mangrove trees planted at the place. This fresh water was connected to the sea, and this wooden bridge helps us so that we can get closer on the Sanctuary. There are lots of crabs, shrimps and fish swim in this place, hiding on the mangroves plants. It was very fun and enjoyable to visit here because of those wonderful sceneries. There are also few coconut trees planted here including some wild flowers and wild plants.
Nearby at the Beach we went is this beautiful cottages built near at the sea. To avoid of collapsing due to sea water, they decided to put concrete on the place were those structure built. There are also some structure built at the sea water and in order for not to reach by sea water, they also decided to built a tall concrete post that serves as a great foundation of the structures. The rooftop is made of plainsheets coated with paints so that it wont get rusty. There are also some rooftop made of coconut leaves and some round lumbers serves as a foundation of the structures.
This cottages looks very fascinating and very unique built. It is made of bamboo pieces coated with paint. But according to our tour guide, this beach resort was temporary closed down because of some small problems, there is a caretaker who cleaned this cottages but it will be in operational by next Month. The foundation of this cottages are made of coconut lumber and the rooftop is made of coconut leaves also. Some of the tables are made of concrete and a few beach structures just like eateries and Inn.
There are parts of the place contains lots of rocks, every low tide lots of rocks appeared at the surface and also lots of crabs, sea shells and shrimps can be seen. Few of the residents here are having a lot of fun and enjoyable time searching of it. Different Sizes, colors and shapes of rocks can be seen and found here at the shore. Visiting this place is very worth it for those who loves traveling, I guarantee, people who visit here will really had a good time spending time in this place. Happy travel everyone.
