Hi there, wholesome reader!
It's me again and another travel series is coming your way! This is another one of my firsts that I'd gladly share with you all – my first international trip. Yey!
The main reason for this trip is to attend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, which I shared in my previous post. To make the trip worth it, we planned, ahead of time, to visit some of Singapore’s famous attractions.
I was Bejeweled at Jewel Changi Airport
To start with, let me share our experience right after we landed in Singapore. It's too cool to think that the airport itself is already an attraction.
Our initial plan was to spend an hour, at maximum, in the airport to stroll around and see the views. However, my friend's luggage was slightly damaged when claimed so they had to report to the airline and the rest of us had more time to look around Jewel Changi Airport.
From below, a glass-paneled bridge is visible so I got curious how to get there and thought that maybe there's a way inside the mall. And to make use of the time waiting for my friend, I decided to walk inside the airport's mall.
As I reached the topmost floor of the mall, I discovered that the glass-paneled bridge was called the Canopy Bridge and you need to pay to be able to walk on that bridge. Afraid that I might get left by my companions, I didn't bother to go further that bridge.
What's unique about this mall was its abundant greenery and modern architectural design. No wonder, many people love to spend some time here, even the locals.
The Adventure Continues
After my friend has settled her concerns with the airline, we walked towards the exit of the airport where we can ride the sky train to be able to reach the MRT Station.
From the MRT Station, we rode the Eastwest Line. Our last stop was at Pasir Ris, which was the end of the train route. From there, we hailed a Grab car to reach our hotel.
According to our planned itinerary, we were to visit the Marina Bay at night-time. However, the travel and the unexpected problem with the airline got us all tired. We grabbed dinner and went back straight to our hotel to just chill and spend the rest of the night there.
See you on my next post as I share the next day of our trip in Singapore! 😉
