Can-umantad Falls is one of Bohol’s most stunning natural wonders and proudly holds the title of the tallest waterfall on the island, standing at approximately 60 feet high. Located in Barangay Cadapdapan, Candijay, this powerful cascade flows into a wide emerald pool surrounded by rice terraces, dense greenery, and fresh mountain air. Unlike crowded tourist attractions, Can-umantad Falls offers a peaceful and refreshing escape for travelers who love nature, adventure, and quiet beauty.
The name Can-umantad comes from the word “can-uman,” meaning sixty, which refers to the height of the waterfall. The falls descend in multiple tiers, creating a dramatic flow that fills the air with cool mist and soothing sounds. Standing before it, you can feel both humbled and refreshed a reminder of nature’s power and calm at the same time.

My Experience at Can-umantad Falls
As soon as we arrived, the sound of rushing water echoed through the forest, guiding us toward the falls. Along the trail, we encountered several natural pools with vibrant blue water — perfect for quick dips and cooling off. The water was refreshing, especially after the long and steep drive.
One of my favorite spots was a pool with Can-umantad Falls as its backdrop. From there, we walked toward the main cascade, which towers above the surrounding landscape. The water crashes onto a plateau before dropping into the main pool below, creating a powerful and mesmerizing display.
The main pool is deep, making it ideal for floating, soaking, and relaxing rather than swimming laps. Many visitors sit on nearby rocks, enjoying the mist, the sound of falling water, and the peaceful atmosphere.
