This time we are going to the state of Monagas, specifically to the municipality of Caripe, in a town known by the same name of the municipality, has a geography of 529 km² and an altitude of about 928 above sea level, this town is known as the Garden of the Venezuelan East. During the trip the roads are surrounded by beautiful and colorful trinitario plants that remain in bloom throughout the year.
The town of Caripe is visited daily by hundreds of tourists who come to enjoy its imposing beauty and beautiful places where they can enjoy its handicrafts, gastronomy and a tropical mountain climate that will enchant you.
This time we went to visit the world famous La Cueva del Guácharo, a natural monument and national park worth admiring.
Arriving at the National Park we observed a monument made in honor of Alejandro de Humboldt who on September 8, 1799 discovered the existence of the cave, which was the territory of the Chaima chiefs.
The cave has a touristic route of 1200 meters and daily many scientists continue their exploration.
In El Guácharo National Park you will find an extraordinary vegetation, you will also enjoy a museum where you will learn everything you will find in the cave and important facts about the place.
The national park is guarded by forest rangers, here you will find handicrafts, Creole sweets and more, also this day was inaugurated for the first time in history the free wifi for everyone who visits the cave, counting from now on with biopayment and point of sale, thus boosting the economy within the national park.
This was a family trip where we want to share with the world the natural beauties that you will find in my country and specifically in the state of Monagas.
Inside the cave you can observe rock formations dating back thousands of years, the entrance is only under the supervision of trained guides and you only have to pay $ 1.5 per child and $ 2.5 for adults, they provide you with special plastic boots to enter the cave to avoid slipping.
During the tour the sound of the guácharos will surprise you; however, there is a part of the cave that is completely silent, only in this area you can take pictures, since the guácharos are not tolerant to light.
In this season the guácharos begin the mating stage, as a curious fact it is said that the guácharo is a completely faithful bird, because from the moment they get a mate they stay with her until the day they die.
Another curious fact is that a guácharo chick can weigh more than 1 kilo, twice the weight of an adult bird, due to the fact that the seeds they consume are high in natural oils.
In the town of Caripe there are many adventures to discover such as natural waterfalls, rivers, places for hiking and extreme sports.
It is a place full of charm that after coming the first time will be your favorite tourist destination to disconnect from the city and have direct contact with nature is truly magical.

En esta oportunidad nos vamos al estado Monagas, específicamente al municipio Caripe, en un pueblo conocido con el mismo nombre de su municipio, tiene una geografía de 529 km² y una altitud de unos 928 sobre el nivel del mar, este pueblo es conocido como el Jardín del Oriente Venezolano. Durante el recorrido las carreteras están rodeadas de hermosas y coloridas plantas de trinitarias quienes permanecen floreadas durante todo el año.
El pueblo de Caripe es visitado a diario por cientos de turistas que vienen a disfrutar su imponente belleza y lugares hermosos donde pueden disfrutar de su artesanía, gastronomía y un clima tropical de montaña que te encantará.
En esta oportunidad fuimos a visitar la mundialmente conocida como La Cueva del Guácharo monumento natural y parque nacional digno de admirar.
Al llegar al Parque Nacional observamos un monumento realizado en honor a Alejandro de Humboldt quien el 8 de septiembre de 1799 descubrió la existencia de la cueva, la cual era territorio de los caciques chaimas.
La cueva tiene un recorrido turístico de 1200 metros y a diario muchos científicos continúan en su exploración.
En el parque nacional El Guácharo podrás encontrar una extraordinaria vegetación, también disfrutaras de un museo donde conocerás todo lo que encontraras en la cueva y datos importantes sobre el lugar.
El parque nacional está resguardado por guarda bosques, aquí encontrarás artesanía, dulcería criolla y más, además este día se inauguró por primera vez en la historia el wifi libre para todo el que visite la cueva, contando desde ahora con biopago y punto de venta, impulsando así la economía dentro del parque nacional.
Este fue un viaje familiar donde queremos compartir con el mundo las bellezas naturales que encontrarás en mi país y específicamente en el estado Monagas.
Dentro de la cueva podrás observar formaciones rocosas que datan de miles de años, la entrada es solo bajo la supervisión de guías entrenados y solo debes pagar 1.5 $ por niño y 2.5 $ los adultos, ellos te proporcionan unas botas plásticas especiales para ingresar a la cueva y así evites resbalarte.
Durante el recorrido el sonido de los guácharos te dejará sorprendido; sin embargo, hay una parte de la cueva que está en completo silencio, solo en esta área puedes tomar fotos, ya que los guácharos no son tolerantes a la luz.
En esta temporada los guácharos comienzan la etapa de apareamiento, como dato curioso se dice que el guácharo es una ave completamente fiel, pues desde el momento de conseguir pareja se queda con ella hasta el día de su muerte.
Otro dato curioso es que un pichón de guácharo puede superar 1 kilo de peso, el doble de un ave adulta, debido a que las semillas que consumen son altas en aceites naturales.
En el pueblo de Caripe hay muchas aventuras por descubrir como saltos naturales, riós, lugares para practicar senderismo y deportes extremos.
Es un lugar lleno de encantos que luego de venir la primera vez será tu destino turístico preferido para desconectarte de la ciudad y tener contacto directo con la naturaleza es realmente mágico.
