Hi everyone, Welcome to my next post. Today, I will tell you about the next story of the trip which focuses on things to do in Melbourne.
We finished our meal at 1pm and we walked around the city looking for attractive destinations. Honestly, I also researched a lot about where I should go around the city and consider about fee entrance and how long to take these places. However, time and energy are not enough for us to go to all these places on the first day. SOOOOO 😆😆😆

It has a long list that I was looking for, however I also show you 5 potential places for the first day because all of them are in the same direction so it will save time for you.
Chinatown - Heaven of food
Of course, Chinatown is always the first place to come for people who love food. I asked my friends to suggest some good restaurants in Melbourne. They told me that all good restaurants are in Chinatown. Withdraw some fail times to pick restaurants from the big number of Google reviews. We absolutely agreed that we should choose a restaurant from the image that manifests us. Because everyone will have a different taste for the food. For example some will like the luxury restaurant with a nice cocktail drink but some like us will prefer saving money and nice food. Moreover, our expectation from this trip is to find restaurants that are more special in Sydney.
Depending on my trips, I also refer you to some restaurants that you should visit in Chinatown for cheap and delicious food. I also reviewed more of these restaurants in the next post the day after when we came there.
- Soi39: It is a Thai restaurant that brings exactly the Thailand atmosphere in this store including the taste and decoration. The price is 10/10 with these delicious foods and big portions. I will mention more with you about this restaurant in part 3 of this journey.
Samsam chicken: yayy it is also a cheap Korean restaurant. My friend took me to this place and she told me that it is a student restaurant because of the affordable price. I didn't expect much about the taste there but it absolutely surprised me with the fried chicken and cheese corn.
Mekong ga bo: One more cheap restaurant should be on your list when you visit Melbourne. It is a Vietnamese restaurant with an authentic taste of Vietnamese rice and noodle soups. I highly recommend you come here to get the best pho ever. The taste appealed to me in the first spoon and one more plus point from the early opening hour and cheap price.
Carlton Gardens - refresh your soul
Firstly, I will show exactly how I research this . A popular picnic and barbecue area, the heritage-listed Carlton Gardens are home to an array of wildlife, including brushtail possums .Then it will be my true review that finally gardens are similar a lot in Sydney. So I am not very impressed with this place. However, It is also a hot place to check in when you visit Melbourne and one of the advantages is the fresh air and peace where you can release your tiredness after a long stressful day.
Melbourne Museum - Explore the world
IT is next to Carlton Gardens, that is why I recommend you should come to this place in one day. The decorations there will be appleal you at first glance. There is an interesting place for children to learn something more about animals and nature. The main exhibition will be charged around $15 per adult. However, we want to save money for other places that are more surprising to us than dinosaurs as the main theme for this day. We tried to explore other free places that are not bad.
After a few hours of waking, I got tired and sleepy from lack of sleep and about the flight. As a result, I prefer using the public transport to The Crown Casino which is the most interesting place that I want to visit in Melbourne. Because I want to go to the casino at least one time to go to the casino and bet our luck for this trip.
NICE TIP:We were quite confused when we looked for the free tram station .Then my boyfriend found the free tram map on the internet that showed most of the tourist destinations alongside the free tram zone. Sooo check for the free tram map so you do not waste money for the train which is also a nice tip.
The Crown - Bet your luck
Crown Melbourne is a casino and resort located on the south bank of the Yarra River, in Melbourne, Australia. It has a lot of games and is quite big compared to The Star in Sydney. I want to be there to check my fortune and then the result is nearly lucky. We picked two numbers 2, and 22 because all of our dates of birth are related to 2. But in the first round it was 1, so I changed my mind to number 23 then the result was 2.We lost 20$ however It deserves our fun memory in the casino.
Flinder station - Back to old
Flinder station is Australia’s oldest train station, and with its prominent green copper dome, distinctive yellow facade, arched entrance, tower, and clocks, it is one of Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks. It is the perfect place to take vintage photos for your trip.
END of first day
And that is it for the first day discovering attractive places in Melbourne. It has good things to know and fun experiences. The sky gets darker because of shower rain so we finish things in Melbourne and find a place for dinner and get back. Finally, our destination is a Korean restaurant which has a big number of reviews in the Google map. They highly recommend the chicken there. But the fried chickens just so so so this is the last time we picked the restaurant following big reviews.
