Wherever we go on vacation, we don't sit in one place, despite the fact that there may be many comfortable places, a beach or a service nearby. It is always interesting for us to explore the places that are in the vicinity of the apartment where we are staying. Thus, from Bordighera we were able to get to a number of neighboring towns, including French Menton.
To be honest, the small towns here are very similar to each other. Even despite the fact that they are sometimes separated by a state border. However, there are still differences, and I will tell you a little about them. The main thing, of course, is the language. In Menton, you hear French everywhere, and the signs on the shops and restaurants are also different from the Italian ones.
There are very few people in Menton. Maybe we were just so lucky, but we only saw a lot of people in large areas. The architecture here is also not much different from what we saw in the northern Italian cities next door, but in the center of Menton there were still many fairly large buildings with beautiful architecture that you would not find in the same Bordighera.
Menton is considered one of the resorts of the French Riviera, there is excellent ice cream in local cafes and very kind people. In the following publications, I will tell you a little more about this place, as well as about other cities that we visited back in 2013. I have saved a lot of photos, which I will definitely publish.

Таким образом из Бордигеры мы смогли попасть в целый ряд соседних городов, включая французский Ментон.
Честно говоря, здешние небольшие города очень похожи друг на друга. Даже невзирая на то, что их порой разделяет государственная граница. Однако различия всё же есть и я немного расскажу о них. Главное, конечно, это язык. В Ментоне ты повсюду слышишь французскую речь, вывески на магазинах и ресторанах также отличаются от итальянских.
В Ментоне очень немного народу. Возможно нам просто так повезло, но много людей мы видели только на больших площадях. Прхитектура здесь также не сильно отличается от той, что мы видели в северных итальянских городах по соседству, но в центре Ментона всё же было много довольно крупных зданий с красивой архитектурой, которую не встретишь в той же Бордигере.
Ментон считается одним из курортов Лазурного побережя Франции, здесь отличное мороженое в местных кафе и очень добрые люди. В следующих публикациях я ещё немного расскажу об этом местечке, а также о других городах, в котрых мы побывали в далёком 2013-м году.
