The journey to the summit of Musa ka Musalla (MKM), which stands at an elevation of 4,090 meters (13,200 feet), is a challenging three-day trek depicted in the video.
Day 1: Departure and Base Camp Arrival
Start in Abbottabad: The journey begins at 8:00 AM. After shifting gear and a quick stop at an ATM, the team travels toward Shankari Bazar.
Manda Kucha: They meet legend tracker Nayyar Shahzad, gather supplies, and drive to Manda Kucha Bazar for tea.
Jacha to Door Meadows: From Jacha, the motorized path ends and the foot trek begins. Within an hour, they reach the lush Door Meadows, a popular spot for campers.
Trek to Khodi: The team begins a steep climb toward Khodi, their base camp. Due to the late hour (3:00 PM) and a 3-hour trek ahead, they skip a tea break to reach shelter before dark.
Night at the Wanda: They arrive at a "Wanda" (seasonal shepherd shelter) at sunset. They cook dinner (roti and curry) and rest for the summit push.
Day 2: The Summit Push
Early Start: The team wakes up before dawn at 9,000 feet. They leave their heavy gear at the shelter and begin the final 4,200-foot elevation gain.
The Steep Climb: The first major obstacle is a steep, snow-covered gully. While it looks close, the ascent is physically grueling.
Struggle and Solitude: I pushes ahead of my companions. I faces extreme thirst (trying to eat snow and finding his water bottle frozen) and freezing winds that nearly cause him to turn back out of despair.
Reaching the Top: Despite the mental and physical struggle, he reaches the Musa ka Musalla Summit. I spends an hour at the top enjoying "unbelievable views" before heading back down.
The Descent: I reunites with his teammates lower down for food and coffee. They use snow slides to speed up their descent back to the Wanda for a second night.
Day 3: Return Journey
Packing Up: On the third morning, the team packs their gear and prepares for the final descent back to civilization.
Conclusion: The journey ends as they head back down to Manda Kucha, completing the challenging loop.
