MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park.

I came from Leyte but I never had a chance to step on this memorial park before. I just passed there everytime I go to Tacloban. But last Monday, July 18, during our evaluation assessment for teacher applicants, I able to visit this place even for a short period of time.

Where does this memorial park located?

MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park is located at Palo, Leyte. It's near in the division that I went to as our venue for the assessment. This park is a place to commemorates the historic landing of General Douglas MacArthur that is why he have a statue together with his company in the said place.

This place is very known to us and even me since it was tackled during our elementary days until college of how Gen.MacArthur came back and fulffilled his promise I shall return. . And this park was one of the tourist spot in Leyte as it was declared as National Park that was signed by the former President Marcos.

I won't tackle deeper about the history but I'll show you around instead. This is the beauty of the park.

Last Monday, during the afternoon before I went back inside the venue of our evaluation, I able to went the park together with my husband. A short walk only as I need to get back to the venue.

Before entering the said park, you will see this in the intersection.

Upon entering the said park, you will se the statue of the General and his company. It's just so nice to be there in the place which gave the great impact of the country. At last, I able to see it in person and feel the ambiance of the place.

As you can see, the park is so clean and wide. It was near the sea. And the wind is really fresh and the place is cozy, good for people to take some time to relax.
There's also a baywalk where you can do jogging, maybe. I actually don't know since I saw some having jogging pants but never seen them jogged. Maybe they're just having a walk.

I also saw some of the applicants there who tooked some pictures of themselves. I didn't took some picture of me because I was so haggard from the evaluation where I took to be on the lane for almost 4 hours just to finish the JHS evaluation and I need to get back for the SHS evaluation again.

Before running back to the division,I took some picture of the flowers in the park. My partner also asked me to have picture together. We did actually but I am so haggard, so I will just post his selfie here,hahaha.

Let me present to you my hubby, who was my driver, my messenger and food deliverer during my evaluation assessment hahaha.
He said that the place was nice during at night since the fountain was on with beautiful colors. Sad because I didn't able to see it because I finished my evaluation around 8pm. And the fountain was not lighting anymore when we went back there. I asked him why he didn't took a picture, he said that he was in a hurry to buy food together with the two applicants who was done ahead of me. So, I didn't experienced seeing the beautiful fountain there, maybe next time.
