Soy Lelys 🤝 me da mucho gusto conocerlos. Estuve un largo rato explorando entre las comunidades, deseando encontrar el espacio indicado para desarrollar mi post. Resulta amigos, que hay en #hive en este momento una iniciativa en la que nos invitan a contar una historia de verdadero amor en la que quiero participar rindiendo un homenaje a mi gato Salomón. Espero que la lean, les guste y si desean dejar una opinión o comentario, con gusto estaré leyéndolos. Antes de comenzar los invito a revisar las normas de la iniciativa pinchando por allá arriba en el enlace. Agradecida estoy con Hive account@elizabeths14 por ofrecer la oportunidad de contar nuestra historia, me disculpo si mi relato no cumple con algún aspecto del concurso ya que mi romance no es con un ser humano sino con un alma de extrema nobleza como lo es Salomón.

Hello #bloggingchallenge community I greet you warmly! I'm Lelys 🤝 I'm very happy to meet you. I spent a long time exploring the communities, wanting to find the right space to develop my post. It turns out friends, that there is an initiative in #hive at this moment in which they invite us to tell a true love story in which I want to participate by paying homage to my cat Solomon. 😺 Empezaré aclarando que nunca estuve de acuerdo en adoptar animalitos porque el espacio en mi casa no es el adecuado para ello. Cuando mis hijos estaban pequeños su papá sentía felicidad trayendo para los hijos pajaritos, conejos, guacamayas, pericos y hasta un loro, trajo un día. Por supuesto los niños se emocionaban y esto lo hacía mucho más feliz. Mi actitud, igualmente alegre al verlos tan contentos.

😺 Sin embargo como antes mencioné, en mi casa no hay espacio para criar animales de la manera adecuada, en la que ellos puedan sentirse cómodos y disfrutar del ambiente acorde para su bienestar. Hasta que un día mi hijo mayor se apareció con un lindo perrito negro por el que sentí muy poca ternura, habian pasado casi 20 años de prohibición sobre la entrada de animales a la casa. Él siempre deseó tener uno y ese fue su momento. ¡Lo recibí y acepté en mi hogar! De este perrito les contaré en otra ocasión. Hoy el protagonista es Salomón, aunque Rocky tiene que ver con su llegada a mi vida.

😺 I will start by clarifying that I never agreed to adopt animals because the space in my house is not adequate for it. When my children were young, their father felt happiness bringing for the children birds, rabbits, macaws, parakeets and even a parrot, he brought one day. Of course the children were excited and this made him much happier. My attitude, equally happy to see them so happy.
😺 However, as I mentioned before, in my house there is no space to raise animals in the proper way, in which they can feel comfortable and enjoy the environment consistent with their well-being. Until one day my oldest son showed up with a cute little black dog for whom I felt very little tenderness, almost 20 years of prohibition on the entry of animals into the house had passed. He always wanted one and that was his moment. I received it and accepted it in my home! I will tell you about this puppy on another occasion. Today the protagonist is Solomon, although Rocky has to do with his arrival in my life.

Cómo lo conocí.

Era una noche muy fría y lluviosa, el ruido de la lluvia sobre nuestro techo disipaba cualquier otro que hubiera en ese momento. El increíble olfato de Rocky lo llevó a descubrir en el frente de la casa, bajo la lluvia, en la acera, casi invisible; a este tierno, bello e indefenso gatito. Rocky ladró y ladró y el animalito no se asustó, no huyó, no corrió. Se mantuvo firme mirando a nuestra casa y fijamente me miró cuando lo vi. 😻 Por mi mente inmediatamente pasó un pensamiento: "este gatito me lo mandó Dios".
Lo recibimos con mucha ternura. Se robó mi corazón. Pero le di la responsabilidad del cuidado como mascota, a mi hijo mayor. Se impresionó ya que conoce sobre mi negativa de tener animales en la casa. Este gatito era tremendo, corría, saltaba, jugaba. Siempre buscando reposarse en mi regaso, acariciarme con su colita y dormir sobre mis cholas. Mi respuesta siempre fue apartarlo de mi. No consentía que se me acercara mucho, por aquello de las enfermedades y demás razones que podía aludir.

How I met him.

It was a very cold and rainy night, the noise of the rain on our roof dissipating any other that was at that time. Rocky's incredible nose led him to discover in the front of the house, in the rain, on the sidewalk, almost invisible; to this tender, beautiful and defenseless kitten. Rocky barked and barked and the little animal didn't panic, it didn't run away, it didn't run. He stood firm looking at our house and stared at me when I saw him. 😻 A thought immediately crossed my mind: "this kitten was sent to me by God." We receive it with great tenderness. He stole my heart. But I gave the responsibility of pet care to my oldest son. He was impressed as he knows about my refusal to have animals in the house. This kitten was tremendous, he ran, he jumped, he played. Always looking to rest in my shower, caress me with his tail and sleep on my cholas. My response was always to take him away from me. I did not allow him to get too close to me, for that of the diseases and other reasons that he could allude.

Su estadía.

😺 Salomón creció y se puso hermoso. Aprendió a salir y entrar de la casa. Se apropió de los espacios, dormía todo el día, era un gato feliz. Su llegada a mi vida fue de gran relevancia, mi sentimiento hacía él se fortaleció al darme cuenta de la unión que había entre él y mi hijo. Parecían dos hermanitos. Mi hijo manifestaba por Salomón preocupación, cariño, demostró responsabilidad, lo curó cuando estuvo enfermo. Estas acciones me hicieron querer más al gatito cada día.

A la hora de la preparación de los alimentos Salomón estaba presente. Siempre respetó y esperó el momento o su turno para comer. Siendo adulto, supongo luego de aprender a cazar, intentó varias veces robarse las presas que yo tenia para preparar, lográndolo en tres oportunidades. A partir de allí empezó mi desconfianza por él. Lo regañaba y espantaba de la cocina siempre. Él se guindaba de mi ropa, como un niño de un año para que le diera un poco de lo que yo preparaba para comer. El olor del maíz sancochado le encantaba. ¡Se desesperaba! También le gustaba comer yuca y auyama. ¡Tan bello mi Salomón.

Your stay.

😺 Solomon grew up and became beautiful. He learned how to get in and out of the house. He took over the spaces, he slept all day, he was a happy cat. His arrival in my life was of great relevance, my feeling towards him was strengthened when I realized the bond that existed between him and my son. They looked like two little brothers. My son expressed concern for Solomon, affection, he showed responsibility, he cured him when he was ill. These actions made me love the kitten more every day. At the time of preparing the food Solomon was present. He always respected and waited for the moment or his turn to eat. As an adult, I suppose after learning to hunt, he tried several times to steal the prey that I had to prepare, succeeding three times. From there my distrust of him began. He always scolded and scared him out of the kitchen. He would hang on to my clothes like a one-year-old to give him a little of what I prepared to eat. The smell of parboiled corn enchanted him. He despaired! He also liked to eat yucca and squash. So beautiful my Solomon.

El enamorado gato.

A Salomón venían a buscarlo las gatas a la casa. Él no salia con frecuencia. Tampoco se iba lejos. En contadas ocasiones se ausentó por tres días. Cuando en su etapa de celo salía nos preparábamos a esperarlo con agua y mucha comida. Pensamos siempre que por la calle no comía ni bebía porque llegaba desesperado pidiendo. Hasta la fecha no sabemos cuántos de estos gatos que hay en la comunidad serian sus hijitos.

The cat in love.

The cats came to look for Solomon at the house. He didn't go out often. Nor was he going far. On rare occasions he was absent for three days. When he was out in heat we would prepare to wait for him with water and plenty of food. We always think that on the street he did not eat or drink because he came desperately asking. To date we do not know how many of these cats in the community would be her little children.

En la salud y en la enfermedad

Los gatos forman parte de la familia. Al ser un miembro más asumimos con ellos el compromiso de quererlos, protegerlos y cuidarlos siempre. Así mismo creo que es su compromiso con nosotros. Salomón se acercaba mucho a nosotros para ofrecernos caricias. Cuando se distanciaba era motivo de preocupación. Con él aprendimos algunas cosas sobre el comportamiento de los gatos: son temerosos, al ruido, los truenos y relámpagos. No les gusta mojarse. Son aseados al extremo. También aprendimos a detectar cuando se sentía mal o se enfermaba: generalmente se apartaba a lugares de la casa donde no acostumbraba a estar. Se escondía diría yo. Huía de nosotros. ¡Si observas este comportamiento en tu gato, ponte alerta!

In health and disease

Cats are part of the family. By being another member, we assume with them the commitment to love, protect and care for them always. I also believe that it is your commitment to us. Solomon came very close to us to offer us caresses. When he distanced himself it was cause for concern. With him we learned some things about the behavior of cats: they are fearful, to noise, thunder and lightning. They don't like to get wet. They are neat to the extreme. We also learned to detect when he felt bad or got sick: he usually moved away to places in the house where he was not used to being. He was hiding, I would say. He was running away from us. If you observe this behavior in your cat, be alert!

Su despedida.

Salomón estuvo varios días callado, no tomaba agua. Casi no comía. Sus ojitos siempre húmedos. Anteriormente había tenido accidentes peleando con otros gatos o en su andar callejero. Lo curábamos y se recuperaba muy rápido. Pero en esta ocasión no observamos mejoría. Tenía muy mal aliento, no abría la boca para recibir medicinas y no aceptaba que lo tocáramos. Poco a poco se apartó de nosotros y no pudimos lograr llevarlo a un médico. Apenas podíamos darle agua con inyectadora para mantenerlo junto a nosotros unos días más.
Es importante saber amigos mios, que adoptar un animal no es sólo para que adorne la casa, jugar, sentirnos acompañados y quererlos. Además implica contar con un fondo de ahorros para cuando su salud requiera de los cuidados y atención de los especialistas. Así como también aprender a defendernos de sus violentos ataques cuando se enferman y no desean ningún contacto con nosotros. Salomón es la segunda mascota que con mi consentimiento aún vive en mi corazón.

Your farewell.

Solomon was silent for several days, he did not drink water. He hardly ate. His little eyes always wet. He has previously had accidents fighting with other cats or while walking on the streets. We cured him and he recovered very quickly. But this time we did not see improvement. He had very bad breath, he would not open his mouth to receive medicine and he would not accept us to touch him. Little by little he got away from us and we couldn't get him to see a doctor. We could barely give him water with an injector to keep him with us for a few more days. It is important to know, my friends, that adopting an animal is not only to decorate the house, play, feel accompanied and love them. It also means having a savings fund for when your health requires the care and attention of specialists. As well as learning to defend ourselves from their violent attacks when they get sick and do not want any contact with us. Solomon is the second pet that with my consent still lives in my heart.
