Todavía en algunos países los padres deciden con quien deben casarse sus hijos, en Venezuela no suele suceder o no es común. El matrimonio es una etapa linda y si la sabemos aprovechar obtenemos muchos beneficios.

El matrimonio en Venezuela es un contrato, donde ambos cónyuges tienen derechos establecidos en el Código Civil en los artículos 137 al 151.

Pobrecito, llegó traumado, mi suegra quería las flores rosadas y mi madre azul porque ese es mi color favorito.

Al final fue él quien decidió llevarse las flores amarillas porque estaba apurado.

En la actualidad esto es un fastidio. Tienes casarte en comunidad, con treinta parejas. Si tienes dólares puedes casarte en tu casa.

Me casé por la iglesia y civil el mismo día, y no se lo recomiendo a nadie, es un estrés total. Después nadie se quiere, se comen y toman todo lo que encuentran, y no se acuerdan que tienen compromisos. Estaba al borde, y llegué tarde a la peluquería.

Este día tan especial es una tortura para la novia porque desea que todo salga bien. Pero esto es imposible de controlar.

Antes de mí, se casó otra pareja y me pidieron que dejara que ellos escogieran el color porque no iba a dar tiempo de cambiar la decoración. Ellos necesitaban casarse temprano porque tenían que viajar urgente. Mi sueño hecho realidad, la novia escogió rosas azules y margaritas. La iglesia estaba bellísima.

Se me olvidó algo importantísimo, la campana con el arroz después que pasé días escogiendo si era una campana o una jaula con dos palomitas.

Ahora si viene el bonche.

Actualmente las fiestas son temáticas. Cuando me casé hace muchos años solo se escogía un color y flores.

Llegan los novios y bailan un vals y luego un pasodoble, y comienza la fiesta. Puedes pasar horas esperando que den vuelta por toda la ciudad, no te brindan ni agua y ni se te ocurra pedir el ron porque se ofenden y es de mala educación.

Me fastidié en mi fiesta de matrimonio, así que me escapé y me fui a bailar con amigos y el novio. Wuao, amanecimos en una discoteca y luego nos fuimos a la playa. Fue una celebración grupal.

Por otro lado, no se pudo hacer reservación de hotel porque se celebraba el 12 de octubre y hubo un desfile militar y actividades. No había cupo en ningún lugar. Entonces decidimos seguir la rumba el fin de semana largo con nuestros compadres.
